It can be all of that (''political and social history'') and still be a BL :)
Just because most of the dramas adapted are focused on romance it doesn't mean BL is just that. Most of BOCs series are different in that aspect and if you are familiar with mangas you should know that there are many types of stories around, specially now with the genre evolving. But I can see that nowadays more and more BLs appeal more queer/gay romance too, I just don't think that's the case. The whole visual language here seems pretty BL for me...

I understand. I agree with you about the comments too... I also thought the series would focus more on the political aspects, but if you analise most of the scenes are focused in the couples relationships so I imagined that people would be mostly talking about them... because in the end of the day its a BL.
I get you, because i also think like this! Idk why everybody is cursing you in the coments, you weren't even being…
Okay! I'm not against side couples and I actually have what is called the second couple syndrome😅 My opinion is purely based on the screenwriting, on what works in favor of the plot or not. I don't think in this case they are a distraction but rather a displacement in the time-line of the script and events of the story. I watched all of BOCs shows, and I think all off them are high quality, above average BLs. In Shine i have mostly praises in all aspects, I'm only skeptical with the screenplay. So I'll have to wait for the rest of the show to know if I'll still agree with my firsts impressions though.

omg what are you talking about? I don't know if I wrote something wrong, english isn't my first language, but I never said I didn't liked the show. I have the right to have my opinion on it and that's it.

Well i didn't know myself that it would have a second couple but i think people that care about ships didn't like it and i don't think thats fair either😅

I agree. For me the problem isn't that they have an ep focused on them, but why they chose to do that in the begining (second ep) and how they are developing it, a little too fast in my opinion. I wish the tension between the second couple lasted more eps, because i find their plot really interesting.
It's seems like they are the part of story not main like whole thing is around them but it's only 8 episode and…
I get you, because i also think like this! Idk why everybody is cursing you in the coments, you weren't even being rude or delulu. Its just an observation on the plot...
