My first Ryan Ding’s drama and I love it so much
This actually my first Ryan Ding’s drama, and I love it so much. I fell in love at first sight with Ryan Ding as an actor. I love how talented he is, and how beautiful he is with white hair. Of course I love the story so much and I love the friendship theme in White Cat Legend.Story: 10/10

He Xinliang is PERFECT. I want season 2 of He Xinliang and Yan Ze
This is my last review today to celebrate Ryan Ding’s birthday. Just an Encore is my eleventh Ryan Ding’s drama from eleven series of Ryan Ding’s drama I have watched so far.Ryan Ding looks so young here. He was already in his 20s but he looks like a teenager here. As a new actor at that time, he showed his great talent as He Xinliang. His emotion, his eyes expression played great role to make his character so great that outshines every other character here. Jiang Zhuo Jun also did a good job as Yan Ze. The character I don’t like here is Ji Xiao. He is so boring and plain throughout the series. It’s not the actor fault because maybe that is how the character was written.
If you love a youth drama with a lot of comedic aspect, this series is for you. If you’re Ryan Ding fans, this series is also for you because he looks so young and handsome here. Moreover his acting is Top Notch here. I will definitely watch it again because I enjoy Ryan Ding as the perfect boyfriend He Xinliang here.

I love Ryan Ding as Dongfang Bu Bai
I watch this version of The New Smiling, Proud Wanderer just because Ryan Ding is there as the legendary Dongfang Bu Bai. And today is Ryan Ding’s birthday so I write several reviews just for him. This series is my tenth Ryan Ding’s drama.When Ryan Ding played Dongfang Bu bai, he was still a new actor but he already did a wonderful job as Dongfang Bu Bai. He has his own interpretation of Dongfang Bu bai and he did great. I am surprised that Ryan can play a villain perfectly.
To all people complaining why Dongfang Bu Bai is a male, I think all of you need to read the books first. Dongfang Bu Bai is a male that is being castrated just like an eunuch. Dongfang isn’t a female and at that time, there is no hormonal therapy or plastic surgery so his appearance should be still male. I am not completely blind when I watch this series. I have watched several versions before, and I also watch and read other Jin Yong’s works including the famous Condor trilogy. So if people still complain about Dongfang being male or female, please go back and read the books!
Okay I will be back to this series. Ryan Ding looks really young here but he already showcased his talent as a wonderful actor. He portrayed the charismatic Dongfang Bu Bai perfectly. I can feel his struggle, his pain, his emotion so well and I think he is much better that several actors that played Dongfang Bu Bai before. This is only my personal opinion. His acting outshines other co stars here including Ling Huchong.
Amongst Jin Yong main characters, Ling Huchong is my least favourite. He seems weaker than the antagonists including Dongfang Bu Bai. My favourite main characters from Jin Yong works is always Zhang Wuji because he is so strong. And my favourite character from The Smiling Proud Wanderer is Dongfang Bu bai. I am so happy that Ryan Ding was casted as Dongfang Bu Bai instead of Ling Huchong.
I will recommend this series to Wuxia fans and Jin Yong fans. Maybe they change the story quite a lot but the essence of the story is still the same and I enjoy my experience watching this version of Smiling Proud Wanderer. This is my second favourite adaptation after the 1984 version.

Beautiful Rom-Com that I will definitely watch it again
Still celebrating this happy occasion that is Ryan Ding’s birthday, I write this review for Romance of a Twin Flower that I just finished watching. Romance of a Twin Flower is my ninth Ryan Ding’s drama. I really love his performance as Ning Yuxuan. He is awesome as always, embodying his role perfectly. I also love his co-star, Peng Xiao Ran who plays two characters: Ji Man and Nie Sang Yu here. She also did wonderful jobs here with double roles. I don’t understand why people don’t like her. She is beautiful and she also has great chemistry with Ryan Ding. Both Ryan Ding and Peng Xiao Ran have good sense of humour making the characters they play, Ning Yuxuan and Ji Man, respectively, so enjoyable to watch. I always love rom-com theme so if you are the fans of rom-com this series is for you. I hope I can see another series with both actors, Ryan Ding and Peng Xiao Ran again in the future.Story: 10/10

Han Shuo and Qianqian, I will miss you
Today as we are celebrating Ryan Ding’s birthday, I write this review for this beautiful series I just finished watching. The Romance of Tiger and Rose is my eighth Ryan Ding’s drama. Seeing two of my favourite actors, Ryan Ding and Zhao Lusi in one screen is a wonderful treat for me because I love them both. Because I have watched several series before TROTR, the concept is not a cutting edge for me, but I think during the quarantine era this concept maybe new for the audiences and seeing these fresh actor and actress is like a “medicine” that can cure the problems of people during the quarantine time. As for me watching this in 2025, surprisingly I enjoy TROTR a lot because the concept is quite similar to LGIEF which I also watched. I used to only love Wuxia and Xianxia genre, but Ryan Ding has made me love Xuanhuan genre with both TROTR and LGIEF. He also opens my eyes that Xuanhuan is also an interesting genre to watch.The chemistry between Ryan Ding and Zhao Lusi is chef kiss. The acting is perfect. The story is perfect. Of course I will rewatch it again. I hope they will make season 2 of TROTR and if not I hope they can make another series with both Ryan Ding and Zhao Lusi as the casts. Han Shuo and Qianqian! you’ll be missed:(, a lot.

Too short!!! I want more and more!!!
Celebrating Ryan Ding’s birthday, I write this short review for this short series. Reset Life is my seventh Ryan Ding’s drama. This series is very short only 5 episodes but it’s really enjoyable to watch. Ryan Ding as usual plays his role as Cai Tianmu perfectly. His chemistry with his co-star in Reset Life is beyond my expectation. I can feel their chemistry. I still wonder why I haven’t seen the actress Li Yingying who played Yun Xiaoxi so far. I think she is a good actress. I hope I still can see her in another series. This series has a fantasy element in it and makes it more interesting. I wish it had more episodes. And I wish I can turn back time and change my life completely.Story: 10/10

I love this romantic side of Ryan Ding
Another review for Ryan Ding’s birthday today. Intense Love is my sixth Ryan Ding’s drama. Ryan Ding plays his role as doctor Zhou Shiyun perfectly. I know a lot of people have complained about the lead actress here. I think it’s not the actress’s fault but it’s her role to play a drama queen, so I don’t mind it at all. It’s maybe not the best chemistry but I still enjoy the comedic aspect in this series a lot. If you want a serious story this series isn’t for you but if you want to watch a light series with a lot of comedy and cute romance, this series will be your cup of tea.Story: 10/10

Ryan Ding as Shen Du is PERFECT
To celebrate Ryan Ding’s birthday, I will make a short review of this series. This is my fifth Ryan Ding’s drama. Although they can make the episodes shorter, I still enjoy the drama a lot and all because of Ryan Ding’s performance as Shen Du. I should say Ryan is the one that carry this series to the another level that makes everybody love his role as domineering but charismatic Shen Du. I can’t say a lot about his co-star Ancy Deng because she is new artist. I don’t blame her performance, she is doing quite well for a new artist. I just hope the writer can make her character stronger and not too dependable to Shen Du. I always prefer a strong woman character than a weak one. I hope in their next collaboration with Ryan Ding in Escape to Your Heart, her character will be more independent and stronger. Can’t wait to watch Escape to your heart with both casts, Ryan Ding and Ancy DengStory: 10/10

Simple but Sweet Love Story
Today is Ryan Ding’s birthday, so I decided to write this review. This is my fourth Ryan Ding’s drama, and I love it so much. Ryan Ding as the writer Zhou Chuan is perfect. He is a rare Gem, he can bring any character he plays to another level with his expression. Also the song he sang here, Heartless Poem is so beautiful. His chemistry with his co-star, Esther Yu is chemistrying. I really enjoy their performance as writer and editor because they play their rules so naturally as a couple. I hope Ryan and Esther can be casted together again as a couple in the future.Story: 10/10

LOVE RYAN IN EASTERN FANTASY
This is my third Ryan Ding’s drama, and I love it so much. This is by far the best Ryan Ding’s drama (I have only watched 3 of his drama so far). Ryan Ding is a super MULTI talented actor. I just knew he can also sing and dance when I watch the OST of this drama. I really love Ryan and Esther chemistry as a couple in Love Game in Eastern Fantasy. Once again, I always adore how beautiful Ryan is with white hair. And I think Ryan is perfect as a demon character. He becomes the most attractive demon ever. I hope I can see more Ryan as a demon with white hair in the futureStory: 10/10

Heavenly Sword and Dragon Slaying Sabre

BEST ADAPTATION OF HSDS
I have watched several versions, the 1986,1994,2003, 2009 and this 2019 adaptations also the 1993 and 2022 movies and I will say that this is the best adaptation of the Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre so far. Jason Zheng as Zhang Wuji is perfect. He is handsome, talented and smart. I know he isn't the perfect leader and have soft spot for women but he is loyal and has a good heart. He will do everything to help everyone around him. Amongst the three great heroes in the Condor Trilogy, Zhang Wuji is my number 1, Yang Guo is second and Guo Jing is third. And special praise for Zhao Min played by Yukee Chen. She is so gorgeous and the perfect Zhao Min. So far I have watched this series three times and I may watch it again in the future.Was this review helpful to you?
