Had to drop halfway through the first episode. Something about this feels off, like it's trying too hard to be…
I'm a real KDrama fan but I found the first episode very hard going, it simply felt very slow and nothing much happened and the characters seemed flat. I understand that a lot of secen-setting needs to be done, but it was done at such length and so slow-paced. This was just last night, and it was a real effort of will to keep going - normally I'd give up! The good part is that I had already watched part of an episode midway through the series (my usual way of finding out whether something is going to be interesting) so I know it gets better so I will carry on. I do like Park Shin-Hye in everything I have seen her in.

Loved the original, unhappy that I cannot find an English-sub version of this, even if the great Takako Matsu is not in it (wonderful actor!). In fact I cannot even find an original Japanese version - I almost believe it does not exist, like some Goriki Ayame dramas and films that I see information about on the web (including here!) about but cannot find.
This is wonderful. Excellent characters (especially Saijo) and cleverly made, intelligent and witty direction. Really good script (probably even better in Japanese, I have to accept subs!) and interesting plots - not that the plots matter much, its the characters that GEEKS is all about. Lovely television, a joy to watch.
Would LOVE to see this as I very much enjoyed series 1, but no English subs anywhere. Is it true no-one wants to do it because there are no young pretty girls in it? Its a nicely acted well written series - and I think Aso Yumi is very attractive, if that helps!
Everything about this seems good but - 10 minute episodes? That's nuts. That's really only maybe 8 minutes actual narrative per ep. Is this normal - anywhere?
Watched a few eps now and I agree, subs are poor compared to many, but not so bad as to ruin the pleasure. If you want to see some really bad subs take a look at another Chinese series, THE CASE SOLVER, where the subs made no sense at all (possibly computer generated?) and really did ruin what looked like a pretty good Republican story. Gave up after three epsiodes, and I LOVE Republican detective/mystery stories.
This one also in my top 3, and happen to be my first kdrama^^
I think this is so goood - with excellent performances from all, esp Park Eun Bin who is entirely captivating - that I actually had to stop watching it because I didn't want it to end, to go away, lose all those characters. Wonderful, clever television.
And one other thing - I actually do know several people with various degrees of autism, and some of them have watched WOO, and ALL of them say it is true to life, maybe not a perfect representation of their lives, but close enough to be acceptable in tv drama. Even those with some reservations completely enjoyed the drama. It succeeds on all levels.
PS, the opening scene of Young Woo rising and going to work just brigs tears to my eyes every time. I thought I was too old for that (maybe I am at the right age to let emotion free now!)
Glad you like them. You can watch another IU's amazing acting in My Mister. This is a very good and moving story.…
I'll try IU in ANYTHING now, for a young person (even with years of training) she has such enormous screen presence and control over the way she portrays the character. Her work is this is exceptional.
This is genunely remarkable television, Extraordinary high production quality, great script, fascinating storyline and quite remarkable acting, especially from IU, who absolutely lives her role, conveying so much with a facial expression or almost unnoticed gesture. I love this show, and I am probably far from the original target audience, being in my 70s and living in Europe. I've been a tv enthusiast most of my life and I can say for certain there are very few dramas that are as good as this.
It could be a lesbian romance, but K is not prepared for it.
then K needs to get with it. Most of the K-dramas I watch and like have at least the potential for g/g romance, and its always disappointing when they shy away from it. INHO its the female actors who really carry most K-drama, the males are often identikit and disposable.
This could have been perfect as a GL, the sismance carried. I especially loved the last 2 episodes, the middle…
Completely agree - the dyanamic between the two leads was super - obvious they should get together but would they realise it in time? I'd definately watch another series about whatever they did next.
I thought part were genuinely funny, but there is no obvious 'comedy'. I like the sort of humour that comes from characters just doing or saying things that would be funny in real life - I hate contrived comedy. If you want something that sets out just to be 'funny' this isn;t it - but there are plenty of moments that will make you laugh or smile with recognition of what people do and say. I really loved GLITCH
I dont think its overhyped. This is better than most of the zombie shows out there because it has a unique storyline
Well, I completely enjoyed this - interesting characters (Bae Doo Na is particularly good), good storyline, well-made - and watched partly because it was set in hiostorical Korea, as normally I do not like zombie stories, all just the same thing all the time (killing 'the other' and its easy to see what THAT is a metaphor for!). I know production scedules have been ruined by Covid but it is still disappointing not to have any news of S3 yet - lots of plot lines need to be resolved. BTW - was very disappointed with the spinoff prequel - it all seemed to be very routine with no engaging characters at all.
