Tbh I wanna know why ji ung's mother was absent or kind of in an on and off mother -child relation with ji ung…
she is divorced, single mother and had to make money so she always left jiwoong alone since he was a child. she had never been there for jiwoong until he grew up into adult, so they had awkward relationship.
I was so thrown back when Choi Ung said he didn't wanna date and then said he wanted to be friends... I thought…
the author could be foreshadowing marriage in that dialogue ๐ i read obs staff shared about it but it would be a major spoiler so im gonna keep it myself ๐ฅด
The fake friendship was kind of hilarious to watch. I liked how yeonsu just roamed around ung's house and irritated…
there are just some people who can't move on no matter what .. one of them is me lol
i had exact experience like jiwoong, an expert in one sided crush. i fell in love w my high school crush in my 10th grade and I stopped liking him after 6 fcking years, and that was because I have never met him again. I went to same university as him, but I got busy on my 4th year that I never saw him then eventually forgot him......... but who knows if someday i would reunite w him again, maybe I would be like Jiwoong ๐๐๐
Hi guys ๐๐ I have completed my thread about Our Beloved Summer's timeline, episode theory, listed ost, and more in format that is easier to read! I also included GIF from each episode. โ๐ป๐ If you are interested, you can check my *cough* beautiful *cough* effort in link below!
I want to recommend you guys some korean dating show that I like! It is Love & Joy. The people are more a lot diverse and they have the theme "can man & woman be a friend?", they come as a couple of friend and know each other. Though some people said it was bland, I actually find it more heart warming.
I read about it from korean blog and gather information myself. Don't take it seriously because it might be not canon like grandma's theory, but because it is interesting, insightful, and have a link to the story I want to share it.
We have seen Woong with philosophical book since day 1, right? In episode 7 especially, he hold a korean ver book "Thus Spoke Zarathustra: A Book for All and None" and it had "The Starry Night" painting by Van Gogh as the book cover.
Apparently, Van Gogh used to have an older sibling who died before he was born and he had the same name "Vincent Willem". Because his older brother had the same name, Van Gogh is said to have always thought that he was living in the place of his deceased older brother. Van Gogh was also a considerable reader. He devoured many theological books and literary works, which also influenced Van Gogh's later life.
I found k-netz shared a screenshot of child pic in some scene that doesn't look like Woong neither Jiwoong. From official character profile, we have a discord between Woong with his mom and Jiwoong also have a brother-like relationship with Woong. it can be a matching puzzle if it ends up true. We also know Woong's artist name is Go-o. I thought at first it was a combination of (Guk) ใฑ Yeonsoo surname and (O) Woong from ใ . But after I find this speculation, i wonder if the writer named it based on Van Gogh (๊ณ ํ).
I want to share more trivia about the literature that Woong read, but it would be long so I might post it on my feed only ๐.
When CU insisted YS to apologize and saying all she has to do is come to him and apologize cause he'll be the…
that part is so sweet! their conversation, awkward smile, gaze, and the ost playing at the background are all perfect combination ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
the ending of episode 6 when ung confronted yeon seo infront of her house and they were both crying and vulnerable,…
agree!! how yeonseo kept herself from crying and couldn't hold it that she broke down and finally faced down.. ๐ญ the dialogue was so memorable too ๐ "how have you been?"
tbh... hyeonseong is so charming to me, his face is my type lol when he smile it makes me smile! too bad he picked jia over yeawon, he seems more carefree when he talked w yeawon :(
i read obs staff shared about it but it would be a major spoiler so im gonna keep it myself ๐ฅด
