i forgot the overall / cmiiw anyone who didn't drop the manhwa.
like in manhwa their first meet was in that restaurant - in drama they bumped each other in SE ( and it led to spy plot nicely ) . ceo's friend in manhwa hit on the female lead not the friend. that snuck into ceo office while drunk scene -> in manhwa they made the ml misunderstood her liking and kissing his photo / and much more stupid moments 😠also drama version ml is much more cool headed and rational + fl too is much more likeable in drama.
maybe because i read the manhwa first ( it was so cringe i dropped it lol ) that this drama made it way better. i love the change made the plot way more neat ( + less embarrassing urgh ) and female lead wardrobe choice are also good, im happy she wears normal work clothing ( i hate when kdrama gives those female lead, a one piece, short skirt in office setting.. )
the leads look great together, thanks whoever cast them. so happy for kanghoon lol finally a male lead role! also hyejun my fave, always love her. the pilot episode is such a fun start, i personally love it and i giggled a lot! can't wait for tomorrow.
Same....Like it was so annoying that the two of them aren't close yet and still he grabbed her hand like anything,…
agree. feng xiaoxiao is definitely better and much more well written. there is plenty build up to their relationship and i can connect more to his character. i like that he has big role to laidi's acting sorting out between the play and real life. then there is hongbing show up out of nowhere with his camera acting like crazy fansite? and him forcing onto her just irked me, especially with laidi's past sa... like wth :/
idk the novel, but atp despite liking feng xiaoxiao more, i want laidi to settle on her own, find her ground, without any men.
watching the 33-34-35 preview, i don't really like the love line direction so i will put this on hold until laidi on track with her career again. i can't stand this liu hongbing, he adds nothing whatsoever to laidi's acting journey beside being annoying white knight and i don't buy his all sudden lovey dovey "she is my wife" bs. plus, he takes too much screentime that i had to skip im sorry.
i hope our lead laidi, find purpose on her acting, gets to decide her own fate and reunite with the rest of masters.
This show hits me harder because I used to be part of traditional performance team in high school, I was playing the traditional instrument in the sideline while watching my folks dancing on stage. When I first joined, I was drummer like LaiDi's uncle. I wasn't talented like him though, I kept getting scolded for not getting the rhythm right and the teacher was scary af lmao. I switched instrument in my 2nd year to the melody based one- which turned out to be my perfect fit and the scolding stopped.
I passed my baton to my junior when I hit 3rd year as the team has always performed for graduation and it was my turn to watch them instead being part of the stage.
Watching this drama triggered that memory, even if I was the background character watching the dance team being "The Lead", I still cried a lot. The jealousy, anger, resentment, self-hate, anxiety, thrill, happiness, it was well conveyed.
