I should probably note that I’m watching through the U.S. Viki app. Is there a difference in the number of eps internationally?

Okay I am a bit confused... There are 38 episodes, possibly 40, according to what’s on Viki, but here it only shows 36. Am I missing something?

I think some people on this page clearly view the U.S. with rose tinted glasses. I think the portrayal of America has been pretty accurate, especially given our current administration. But at the end of the day, it’s a FICTIONAL DRAMA aimed at South Koreans, not Americans. I know it’s hard for some people to believe, but the world does not revolve around the U.S.

And I say this as an actual American.

What’s *really* more unrealistic here? The negative things said/implied about the U.S. or the fact the main character literally ran all the way to that destroyed building from a highway that was clearly miles and miles away?

I ended up enjoying this more than I thought I would.

So excited to see that Viki now has this drama!

I just got caught up with this drama and with everything that’s already happened story-wise, I really don’t understand how it’s going to be dragged out for another 12 episodes? It just honestly seems like everything can be wrapped up by episode 30, maybe 32 if they’re pushing it. Has it been confirmed as 40 eps?

And I’m not saying it’s not good! Just a bit confused about how the drama is going to last with a storyline that seems it could be naturally concluded in 2-4 more eps.

I think I am spoiled by kdramas because this only one episode a week thing is killing me lol.

This drama wasn’t what I expected it to be at all and I’m completely hooked now!

I definitely agree about HITTG! I haven’t finished that drama yet but from what I’ve watched, it’s phenomenal!

I’m watching and enjoying it so far. But I do get really tense at the beginning of each ep until I know the story isn’t going to be about sp*ders. (Sorry censoring the word so the google agent watching me type this doesn’t have those creatures start showing up in ads and stuff LOL). I’m looking forward to finding out more about Himokura’s background/past. It’s sad about what happened with Matsushita Yuya’s character, and I definitely think there’s more going on there. Plus it’s interesting learning about all the different diseases and how things can infect others! Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Yup. It was one of my first kdramas and tbh it literally was so bad it turned me off of kdramas for YEARS. I’m not even kidding. I didn’t start watching kdramas again until summer of 2013.

I watched it in 2009, as it was airing. Back in the stone age when you had to download the raw videos and wait for fansubs lol.

I barely made it through watching this version once.

I’ve seen every version, including the 1995 movie! The Japanese version, Hana Yori Dango, is my favorite.

Honestly? When it comes to this version I didn’t like any of the characters!

Probably the only thing I DID like about this drama was the OST. So many good songs! “Stand By Me” by SHINee and “Lucky” by Ashily are two of my most favorites.

Yup!

I think I’ve seen most of what he’s been in, besides maybe Faith which I did start but ended up dropping. I still think City Hunter was his best role so far. /shrugs

Well actually I did watch her in You Are Too Much, but she was only in the first couple of episodes. She got sick (I think?) and then they recast her part. But other than that, I haven’t seen her in anything else.

I’ve seen some of your comments before and you have some serious issues. I’d suggest therapy. And I’m not even saying this as a joke. You take overreaction to an entirely new level. Yikes.

This drama is perfection so far!! I’m in love with pretty much every scene!

I love seeing articles like this because I’ve always felt that actresses/female characters are held to a ridiculous standard while their male counterparts are not. Not just in kdramas either. I’ve unfortunately seen it in jdrama, cdrama, and lakorn fandoms as well.

I was not happy with the ending. At all.
