The real original source is such short manga or anime. So not much can be said from side character. Anyway i even cry because i feel shi guang's mother is such a really great mother that give her everything for her child, what's wrong with that? And the childhood friend (the girl) doesn't revolve around shi guang cause she is literally have a little scene, but from that we can see that she doesn't disturb shi guang at all, meaning she has her own life too, it is just we can only see the drama focus around shi guang as he is the main protagonist of this drama. This drama already made really good female side characters, there are none that annoying even feel they are cute and very kind. I also love strong female character but what's the point with that if every scene would suddenly disturb the main protagonist to the point becomes married with the protagonist like my roommate is a detective. It would be destruction for this drama.

Friendship between yu liang and shi guang is too beautiful though, it is like they are fated to meet and becomes each other's motivation. Something like twin star?.

I checked the drama the mystery and the rest are really good, seems like a high budget drama, except i just hope the romance thing won't destroy the story especially when on third episode, the girl seems to misunderstand who saves her, hopefully no love triangle please..... ( i just watched until third episodes).

The novel is not tagged shounen ai but it is brotherhood genre, even the original synopsis of novel only consist two male lead. Even the comment that read the novel say the other male lead is the second protagonist. I am only ever watch neo as wu xie in the lost tomb 2, so don't really know his past drama that already aired. Madihawkins is fan of neo and want to watch him having a romance, then that's up to you. Romance drama are so many, and many times they are really draggy, it is normal if i, watch dramas everyday in my free times, get bored with romance drama.

Yep even the ending song intro scene also already spoiled the genre but the poster is really misleading as though that the other support guy has much more important scene than the fl, i hope the other guy won't be bad guys and makes the only romance stay loyal to the end.
