I’m on episode 25 and it’s so full of angst that it’s pure drudgery getting through the series. I keep wanting the sadness and troubles to end, but they just keep coming.

“Marry My Husband” was really good. I rewatched several times last year. However, I didn’t enjoy her two dramas before that, the ones about the meteorological news station and the contract-marriage-for-hire one—both were really bad.

Justice? I thought things got resolved.

Shouhua was so reserved that I couldn’t see any chemistry between them. He certainly wanted her, but she was not affectionate at all. She gave him that little peck on the forehead and that was it 😳😂. I kept thinking, “He’s going to get tired of her distance and reserve.”

The best couple, hands down, was fourth sister, Haode & Shen Huizhao. OMG 💕

Perhaps it is revisionist history, but the drama was a lot of fun nonetheless. Perhaps, however, women had clever means of surviving and maneuvering those harsh patriarchal times in ways that surpass our current understanding.

She’s the reason the family was so warm, loving, and united. She taught her girls, by example, how to be strong, but kind women. 💪🏽💕

Love this interview! 🥰They are so great together. So much warmth and personality, both of them. No wonder their chemistry was so good in the drama. I get the feeling we will see this pairing again in another drama one day.

Lots of twists and turns, angst and fun, romance, and family love. A delightful drama. The writing and pacing were a bit off at times, but overall a very enjoyable watch.

I will miss this drama.

He did no kisses in The Double as I recall. In an interview, he voiced his dismay that a pretty steamy kiss had not been included the final edit. Apparently, he was proud of his work 😂. I would have loved to have seen it too. Would have been fire 🔥 I’m sure.

He’s done plenty in “Your Sensibility, My Destiny” (I forgot the exact title) and “First Love” (also forgot the title of that one too).

She looks very different in “Reopen My Journal” too. She reminds me of Seven Tan in that drama.

Question—When Shen got his memory back was he able to remember how Haode had helped him with the cases and did he remember that they had consummated the marriage?

The way the brides got swapped reminded me of that Ao Rui Peng drama “Right Groom, Wrong Carriage.”
