I’m not sure exactly which part you didn’t understand, but from what I’ve seen so far, the story revolves…
The emperor is Mr. Third. His older brother (who is corrupt, has many supporters in his pocket, and probably would like to steal the throne) is Prince (aka King) Ning. The King of Ning is not the emperor. Prince/King of Ning is likely the son of a royal concubine, whereas Mr. Third (the emperor) is son of the Queen.
On episode 2. Excellent drama. Current. Savvy. Really funny. Educational. Novel concepts. Certainly, space-themed shows are nothing new, but the IVF angle is novel. Ep 1 didn’t grab me at first. Glad I stuck with it.
OK, first question how does her own family not know that he’s a she. And is princess in red dress going to be…
Her father and sisters know the truth, but I guess the servants have been put under a gag order and are extremely loyal. The story the father put out there is that Qiluo was sent away to recouperate from some illness to explain her disappearance and her “brother” Feifan is the only one the other relatives see because the daughters are not allowed to go about freely too much so as to protect them and the family secrets. That’s at least what I can piece together.
She’s still doing dramas because she needs to work and acting is her chosen profession. Bills to pay, child…
She got into some trouble a year or so ago and many companies dropped her as their model/brand ambassador. But, yes, normally endorsement deals are a major source of income for popular actors. They lose their popularity, however, if they are not doing dramas regularly. So, one leads to the other.
I just saw the deliberate acting of QL turning poor Lie into jelly. I've come to know that spring water has that…
The number of times I rewatched that scene! So much to unpack!
Song Wei Long was killing it in that scene. The way his micro expressions changed. OMGGGGG 🔥🔥🔥. The scene was hot and Angelababy was totally bringing it (girlfriend was gooood), but I actually didn’t like how QL resorted to using her feminine wiles in that moment. It was too disingenuous. She was thoroughly playing him, whereas he was sincere in that moment. He could totally discern though what she was up to (that she was purposely distracting him). So, at least, he’s not an oblivious fool. But, he fell for it anyway, like you said, “jelly” in her hands.☺️🙈
Yes, I get it—she has some mission that she has to protect at all costs. But, I didn’t like how she used her sex appeal to distract him. It made me lose respect for her a bit. I thought, “Wait, what kind of woman is this?! I thought she honorable!” But, nope, girlfriend will do whatever she’s got to do. Even still, it was hot. I acknowledge that too, lol.😆 😁
To be fair, he’s got his own agenda too and he’s keeping under his thumb, watching her every move, being mildly possessive, which is sus. But, it seems he’s falling for her more sincerely than she is. She’s already said, “We’re not on the same path.”
On episode 2, not bad but dang! ML is so cute lol first time watch his drama. Female lead, saw her drama before.
He was excellent in “Go Ahead.” Highly recommend.
“Find Yourself” was pretty good too, but the second ML got too much screen time instead of Song Wei Long. But, “Find Yourself” was an international hit and was what put Song Wei Long on the map. I remember that I was absolutely blown away by his good looks.
Wow, I've always loved Miles Wei as his typical domineering CEO type persona, but damn, he has really upped his…
Thoroughly agree! Versatile actor. He was smart to take this role even though it’s a second ML role. Knocking it out of the park and I haven’t even made it to ep 29 yet. Can’t wait!
A nice light watch. Beautiful people. Nothing too dark and sinister or heavy. One of the tamest action dramas I’ve ever seen. But, I like it.
The FL character is smart, extremely smart—a business and weaponry genius. Quite a fascinating twist! The FL character is a thoroughly admirable woman. That part of the character, Angelababy is nailing and portraying beautifully. While Angelababy’s trademark gentleness and reserved acting style are lovely and pleasant, they are mildly underwhelming for this role. This role instead requires someone dynamic and highly charismatic. Her character started off with some oomph in the action scene of episode 1, but progressively became the subdued and calm Angelababy that we’ve seen time and time again. Nevertheless, I am enjoying her story very much.
Song Wei Long is dashing and charming and handsome (as per usual) and doing far better in the role than I expected. Is he the rough, gruff, hardass that the character is supposed to be? Kinda sorta, but not entirely. He’s definitely more the gentleman than the kickass, cunning general. But, still, he’s doing well enough in the role to make it believable that he’s capable of being the Wolf Leader.
Overall, a solidly entertaining watch. I’m hooked every episode. The slowburn romance is building nicely with multiple other interesting subplots and side characters turning this into in my new favorite drama after “Flourished Peony.”
