Weak start, but the drama won me over in the end. There was more depth to each character than meets the eye. Very well-written. It’s just the execution of the story that was weak. It was hard to like the FL at first with the way they presented her. But, it was a heartwarming story in the end with many good points.
Agreed, when you explain it like that, I get it. The translator went afoul and missed a nice opportunity to educate there. But, in reality, most global audiences would not have recognized the Korean chef, especially without some context.
He’s definitely a puppy for the most part, but seems to have a bit of pit bull in him if the occasion should require it. He seems like a simple character, but there’s actually a lot there, for instance, the way he was sitting on all his talent while he was the FL’s work subordinate, but became extremely capable, seemingly overnight, when he became the Director.
some questions:1-love triangle ?2-sml annoying/obsessed?3-confirme the happy ending for main couple? marriage?4-good…
1-no triangle 2-yes annoying SML 3-happy ending 4-extremely swoonworthy 5-yes, several kisses , decent but don’t expect too much. These are not “Love Is Sweet”-level kisses. 6-yes secondary couple 7-Absolutely worth the watch for the romance. Patience needed though. It’s a wolf/rabbit slowburn.
That was a painfully drawn out ending. It took too long to get the evil guy out of the picture. He had already…
We were told that Baby Emperor’s father, the Crown Prince, died from illness. We were told nothing about his mother in the drama. Maybe the novel provides info—don’t know.
This is my first time watching and completing Ding Yuxi's drama and I absolutely love this! 💖💯 LONG HAIR…
I like your comment. He was always a cutie bear to me though, just very boyish-looking, very young and immature (like in “Moonlight” for instance). In this drama, however, he looked (and acted) like a full grown man. A FULL-GROWN MAN. 🔥
I am on episode 30: Love Ding Yu X. So I think I get it now, why I am not seeing any chemistry between the leads.…
The slowburn chemistry of this drama is through the roof. ML was impressed and complimenting her boldness and intelligence as early as Ep 2. On their wedding night, he claimed she would never be the wife of his choice, yet he told her she was very pretty, not merely pretty, but very pretty. The very next day, he had the butler move FL into his personal bedchamber 😏. Ep 5 was the turning point when he really perceived what a good woman he had and started with the sultry eyes, stealing glances all the time. Ep 13, the attempted kiss. Ep 17, hot flirting. On and on it goes… The chemistry in this drama was extremely swoonworthy and heart-fluttering. It was subtle, but it was there 🔥 like a gentle slowburn, building and building and building.
FL actress wasn’t the best kisser, but it made sense given the innocence of the character. Everything else was chef’s kiss 😘.
