She is pearl diver , it's mean she in ocean a lot of time, why she should be very dirty? She not a miner
The brief scene I saw was an outdoor scene where she being chased and whipped, something like that. She should have looked rough and haggard and grungy, if you don’t like the word dirty, yet she looked “pretty.” It didn’t fit the scene. It didn’t look an actress completely committed to a realistic, gritty portrayal of an unglamorous scene.
sorry, but she doesnt work in a mine. She's a pearl diving. You could say you saw her fingers had wrinkled skin,…

SML actor did his job well, thoroughly convincing us he was an obsessed madman. Very handsome guy though. He caught my eye in “Forever and Ever” as the ML’s best friend who fell for Bai Lu’s character. This guy stay not getting the girl 🤣.
Did something else besides that cliff misunderstanding happen between FL and Jiaxue to cause their irreparable rift? She seemed to have fallen deep in love with him, from my observation. So, why wasn’t she able to forgive him when she learned the truth of the cliff incident? Something else bad must’ve happened. I feel the drama didn’t give enough details on that point. Otherwise, how did her hatred of him run so deep when she had loved him so much?
Saw the trailer. I have my doubts already. She’s supposed to look rough and dirty and ragged when she’s a slave, but she doesn’t look gritty at all. It looks like they are trying to keep her “pretty” even though the setting is rough.
I enjoyed the drama, but it was weird that she could switch to a romantic relationship so easily after learning the truth of her parentage. That implies that her feelings had been growing for him even while she thought that he was her brother. Weird.
I watched avenueX's review on this..is this worth watching? I don't want to waste time
AvenueX seems to dislike most popular dramas that the masses like. Just because she dislikes something doesn’t mean that you will. She’s a tough critic and she is very smart; sometimes she makes valid points. Other times, her opinions are just that—her own opinions, not facts.
I personally stopped following her because of her negativity and sarcasm. But, the historical information and cultural contexts that she provided were always very interesting and helpful. But, her rude opinions were not.
Also, she seems to rate and critique dramas based on the first 1 or two episodes instead of giving the whole drama a fair evaluation. That’s certainly what she did with “Hidden Love.”
Melody of a Golden Age;
