Goodness, it was pretty boring (ep12) i was sick of seeing the men of the court in all the scenes, i love period…
Yep, she ain’t learned a thing even after being around the king for so long. Still jumping to conclusions before getting all the facts.

too male-dominated to watch this
Normally, I would agree. But, I could use a break from the female-centric dramas I always watch.

Gosh I hate frick (Disney+) and frack (Hulu)
Agree Disney+|Hulu is the worst. They take forever to release kdramas to the US. So we can’t enjoy them real-time with the rest of planet when the dramas are initially released. Also, subs are often out of sync with the scene. They really need to step it up to get on Netflix’s level. Even Prime is a bit better than they are.

Yep, CLD wants him baaadd. Laughable. She’s a joke. But, she’s going to stir the pot big time, for sure. She’s just shrewdly waiting for her moment, like you said.

The King is resolute in his reign. Meanwhile, Mong Woo and his/her revenge…〽️↘️⬇️⬇️↪️
I think she’s slowly starting to realize they’ve misunderstood the king.

Principal Director has been humiliated and humbled TWICE. What will his next plan going forward be???🤔🫣
That was a masterful takedown. Really well-done.
On Captivating the King Feb 17, 2024
I love seeing how this king stays in control of his court instead of the court controlling the king as we often see in these types historical dramas. This king is a master politician. He doesn’t miss a beat. He’s a strong king, but not a despot. He has a sincere love for the people, the subjects. He even seems to love his little nephew, the Grand Prince. He’s teaching the young grasshopper how to be a good king. I’m thoroughly impressed with this character.

Who else recognized the actor playing Captain Joo Sang Hwa (king’s right-hand man) from “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim “? Love seeing his range and him in a meatier role here.

Oh wow, that would have been a nice addition to the drama! Maybe the Director felt the actress looks too young to play a mom. Who knows what they were thinking?

I liked them too. They were so fire. His longing, nervous gazes. His always checking someone with his chastising words yet speechless before before her. Her beauty and confidence hiding her insecurities in front of him. They both liked each other so much, yet continually seemed at a loss in front of each other.
