Han Ting’s walking behind Ji Xing was so heart-fluttering to me. It reminded me of the scene in 2005 movie, “The New World,” when Christian Bale’s character was courting Pocohontas. Classic flirting, across every culture, that never goes out of style.
Kinda stunned by Miss Shangguan. 😮 Kinda cold-blooded. When did her feelings change for Ronghua? Honestly, I get it though. He’s not the best husband material per se, not very perceptive. Also, he supported his brother which was honorable, but also problematic. Still, he’s kind and gentle and pleasant. Didn’t see it coming for Miss Shangguan to be so decisive and practical in dismissing him. She’s breaking his heart. She should’ve never messed with him in the first place if she was just playing around. Mind you, I am only in the middle of ep 32. Si, don’t know how this will really go.
This has gotten tiresome. So tired of the blind trust the emperor has in Consort Rou. He should be smarter than this. Also, the leads’ chemistry has waned for me. I’m not feeling it anymore.
It was different case to me about wang xing yue because I watched him first in one and only and I hated him so…
I disliked the character in that role, but I was thoroughly impressed with his talent. So happy that Wang Xing Yue’s has career developed steadily since that standout performance.
Whereas, I was unimpressed with Zhang Ling He in LBFAD. Didn’t understand his appeal at all. It was only after SOKP that I became thoroughly smitten. He’s my favorite now.

Maybe they don’t use the word cousin, like the way Yuan is called Han Ting’s “sister,” but she’s actually his first cousin. Her mother is his aunt.
