I now see the point of CP and QZZ in episode 12. Their relationship is the catalyst for something big in the monarchy.

Then why would CP be so extremely sad to the point of madness (in the first life) about the princess killed in the enemy harem if it happened before his birth? I’m confused about who that princess was.

I find CP and QZZ so boring. They put me to sleep 💤.

Didn’t CP tell PWX that the Princess was 10 yrs old when his first bride (in the first timeline) was killed in the enemy harem? So, then, the CP being younger than his sister was less than 10 when he was married to his first wife?

Who’s older—Crown Prince or Princess Royal?

That was definitely a powerful scene. Very telling. Well-written. Gave us huge insights into the Princess’ mindset. She thoroughly embraces who she is and understands her worth, even if she isn’t the most beautiful woman (self-admittedly). She really does have Princess Syndrome, as well she should according to her, because “I’m a princess”, lol 🤣. I both like her and dislike her. She’s quite a woman, a force, yet full of ambiguity. She’s confident and proud, yet insecure about love? Is insecure, the right word? She’s an enigma to me. I don’t quite understand her. Kudos to the writer and the actress for such an intriguing character.

SML irks the living daylights out of me since episode 1. 🙄😑

I’m at episode 11 and I really don’t understand the Princess’ personality. I’m starting to find her rather unlikeable. Actually, I don’t understand why both she and the ML say they don’t love each other and that the current marriage is only temporary. She keeps pushing him towards Qin ZhenZhen. He keeps pushing her towards Su Rongqing. Why are they doing this?

He’s my fave too right now! The way he emotes, as you said, is on point. I rewatch Kunning Palace regularly and don’t get tired of it at all because his acting is so compelling. And, not to be overlooked are his outstanding kissing skills, which is huge in my book, lol. 🔥🔥💋💋😂😂

ML probably feels guilty towards his wife for their first life because he showed interest in another woman which hurt his wife. He never tried to fix it or comfort her. So, she in turn, feeling betrayed, took a lover, that scheming Su Rongquin(sp?) She’s crazy blind when it comes to Su. Makes no sense.

The person she “cheated” with was castrated . So, I don’t think it was a physical relationship. (I could be wrong.) But, true, it was an emotional relationship. She felt betrayed by her husband; so, she turned to another man. It’s a sad situation.

Very good drama. The visuals are excellent. At episode 3. There’s a bit of humor here and there, but realistic in its depiction of how misunderstandings, insensitivity, and lack of communication tear down a marriage. Reminds me of “Queen of Tears.” Very interested to see how (if) this couple turns things around. Both leads are bringing maturity to the roles despite their youth. Good acting.

However, the FL’s 18 yr-old self and her 38 yr-old self look exactly the same. The makeup artist should have done something differently to create a stronger distinction. The age difference was clear though with the ML. I barely even recognized Zhang Ling He as a “40 yr old” with that facial hair.

Honestly, I don’t remember. The kisses we did get were underwhelming and unsatisfying. Great drama and chemistry, but a total miss for me as far as skinship. Director, do better. Learn from “Story of Kunning Palace.”

Xue Fangfei gave me chills when she called out the names of those 100 soldiers one by one. I was cheering at the screen. Amazing woman. 🔥
