Well-said. I think a more compelling actor rather than the best-looking actor is needed for this idiosyncratic ML character. Song Wei Long has the right look, but does he really have the acting chops to the degree that you described? Honestly, I’m not sure he does although I enjoyed him tremendously in “Go Ahead.” Ryan Cheng has the kind of acting chops you described. He’s emotes extremely well. He’s mesmerizing. I will also say Zhang Ling He has the right skill set given his performance in “Story of Kunning Palace” which blew me away. Richards Wang also has the exceptional acting skills needed, but perhaps not quite the right look. He’s very compelling though. He always steals the show. Miss seeing him in dramas lately.

Does FL have that breathy, overly sweet, baby voice the whole drama? OOOMMMGGGG. At episode 2, not sure I can endure. It sounds very Jackie Kennedy/Marilyn Monroe.

He definitely has the acting chops and always brings the swoon-worthy charm, but he doesn’t have the right look for the role, IMHO. The chemistry would be insane though. Smoking hot.

The visuals of this latest pairing are well-matched. Just hope the acting will be on par as well. But, yes, overall, I do like this pairing. While the previous actress had an old vibe, this actress has a teen vibe which is mildly concerning. She was, however, surprisingly good in “My Journey to You.” That was a very mature role and she pulled it off well. So, I’m optimistic that she could do “First Frost” well.

Thank goodness. Much better choice. Very pretty. Her acting is not that compelling, but she did impress me a bit in “My Journey to You.”

Are you serious? Or are you just trolling and deliberately being rude? Cunning means “crafty and scheming, manipulative.”

1. Fall in Love with Chen Xing Xu & Zhang Jing Yi - ML is very smart and scheming. Good drama.
2. My Dearest (Kdrama)
3. My Journey to You - Not as good as Story of Kunning Palace though the same ML.
4. Reborn Rich (Kdrama)
5. Unexpected Falling - intriguing but unsatisfying ending
6. Imperfect Victim - modern drama but FL is scheming. Very good drama.
7. One and Only

She told ZZ that she caused his mother’s death so that ZZ could stop blaming himself. He was despondent and inconsolable. That was Ning’s way of helping him to go on. She became the bad guy, someone to hate, so that he could stop hating himself. She also felt guilty too and couldn’t face being with him anymore. But, it really wasn’t her fault in reality. It was just an unfortunate set of circumstances and misunderstanding all around.

Kiss scenes in “My Journey to You” were a huge letdown. The chemistry was building, building, building only to end with a PG, boring, nothing peck between Zhang L and Esther Yu. And we got no kisses at all from the hotter, sexier second lead couple (Ryan Cheng and the pretty girl from “Time and Him Are Just Right”). We got a hot bath scene from them, but just smoldering stares and that’s it. That whole drama was such a tease.

I definitely have a new respect for his talent after watching “Story of Kunning Palace.” I honestly couldn’t ever understand his appeal before. But, now, I definitely get it! He was outstanding here.
