You would think the mom is the FL given how many scenes she’s in as compared to the actual FL. Even Grandma gets featured more than Nam Soon. Oh yeah, I’m back, by the way. I dropped this, but picked it back up.
I thought episode 4 dragged and it had nothing to do eith the bad guys. I havent brought myself to watch epi 5…
I can already tell this drama would have been better with just 12 episodes. They are already starting to put fluff in the episodes without really developing the FL character. Her development is moving at a snail’s pace.
Episode 5–Dragged a bit, but I can see what the writers are doing. Setting the stage for the villains to rise. There was a lot to unpack regarding the ML villain with his bulging veins and all. I can already picture the smackdown throwdown that’s building between him and Namsoon.
Episode 1–Very good. Intriguing, dark plot. Good acting. Love seeing Song Wei Long in an edgy role like this. Enjoying this FL too. She’s a new face for me.
So, many nice nods to the original—the children in the school bus, Mom moving the cars out of the way like they were toys (like Bong Soon did in the junkyard), ML Hee Sik going “Where’d she go?” (MinMin was always saying that too.)—made me smile.
How is he able to recognize her as an adult when he saw her 18 years ago? Pretty unrealistic.
People still resemble their younger self as they grow up. She didn’t change into a completely different human. Certainly, by the time you’re elderly or middle-aged, you’re unrecognizable. But, still being in her 20s, it’s believable. Also, the child actress they chose was only a slight likeness to the FL which made it seem implausible, but in real life it’s plausible. Their eyes were quite similar though.
