He’s clearly had some work done on his nose. Even still, I think he’s sexy even with a less than perfect nose. Those eyes—very beautiful eyes, unusually narrow and slitted. And his body—wowww. He clearly works out. I love his tan skin too. I don’t like the pale, skinny, flowerboys. Yep, he’s hot. Above all, it’s his happy energy which we never get see in any of the characters he plays. He’s a high-spirited, fun guy in real life from what I have seen in social media.

I didn’t. I rarely read synopses because I don’t like spoilers. I like the surprise of the plot as it unfolds. This surprise was jolting. Not enough to make me quit watching though because it’s still a good drama.

True, she’s pretending as someone else, but still the core essence of her true identity should still filter through. You can’t help who you actually are even when pretending to be something else. I feel JJY as an actress should have conveyed that more. Also (I am only on episode 5) how will ML discern she is truly Cai Wei if her real nature and mannerisms don’t peak through the pretense? No spoilers! That was just rhetorical. Regardless, I’m enjoying the drama.

“A Familiar Stranger” vibes. I’m enjoying the drama, but I was really enjoying the original guest actress who played Yang Cai Wei before the switch occurred. That love story and her chemistry with the ML were engaging and very good. The FL was better as the evil Shangguan Zhi. She’s not capturing the same charm in the Yang Cai Wei role as much as the other actress, in my opinion.

You want the psychopath to win the FL’s heart?

Stressful. Annoying. Not even two seconds of happiness for the healing couple before it’s all shattered again. And why do the villains win so much? The bad guys just keep on winning. It’s a kdrama—we knew what we signed up for…but still 😳😳😳

Absolutely not! Watching as soon as it drops. I am not a fan of the FL, but the BTS I saw got me hooked. Their chemistry was fire. I enjoy the ML a lot. He does grumpy, mischievous, deceptive, naughty, funny very well. 😁
