based on naver and namu, the filming already finished last year (even before nam yoonsu started filming for today's webtoon). but, kakao planned to stop their paid content business this year and there is no clear explanation of whether they still gonna release it later, move to different ott platform, or cancel it. it also happens for other unreleased kakao web drama (aquaman, blue house family, etc). hopefully they still released it somehow..

watched this for takahiro miki x sho tsukikawa joint project and this got everything you expect if you were familiar with their works. youthful romance, heartfelt friendship, dreamy-like cinematography, and death trope lol.

for technical aspect, obviously this one winning. but imo, the the twist reveal is staged much better in the original version (ditto 2000). also in the original version, when they meet in the current timeline, they dont say a word to each other. personally it adds to the bittersweet ending.

my guess is woonho dead when he tried to go back to korea, probably in a plane crash. cause they start to lost contact when bora got accepted into college (2000/01), and he did write he wanted to go back to korea for college. i'm actually fine with him being dead lol. but.. what happen to her friend?? like they literally had no interaction after she chase him to the train station.
anyway.. it's still a good movie for killing time. the cinematography is beautiful. i really enjoy first half of the movie, before the miscommunication stuff happen.
