You need to piece it up carefully and slowly to get a full and more satisfying experience. I like that they are not going the one dimensional character route, where the FL is a beautiful clumsy idiot, the ML is a prince who never falters when it comes to going after the girl he likes, an evil conniving bitch of a SFL and a super excellent SML with great attributes that the FL just fails to see.
Despite some comments about how this series is boring and that the actors talk in a non-natural speed and stare at each other nonstop I´m utterly loving it.
Love how class and status plays a very important role in this series. There´s no evil or good people, everybody is acting accordingly to their circumstances. The SML might appear lame at first glance, but he is more than that, he is struggling with his own demons; insecurity, poverty, feeling like a burden to his girlfriend, he can probably tell that she is not that into him as well…
The SFL is trying her best to win her boyfriend´s heart and she is doing it the only way she knows; with money and power tripping. Even her own father realized that the ML might not be really into her. His advice to his daughter was golden, “learn to get what I can´t buy for you” LOL
The angst we get from this series is quite similar to the first half of Our Beloved Summer, but this is one is more mature, which I appreciate VERY much. In Our Beloved Summer the main leads and the SML were such emotional wrecks that were unable to be with anyone. Those talented, healthy and bautiful young people practiced celibacy for YEARS hehehehehehe quite unreal, so that was one aspect I hated about that series. At least in this one, they try to make other relationships work, it is like in real life. Even if you have a crush on someone you don´t put your entire life on hold, your life keeps on going, you meet new people, be with other people, break up with them or marry them, divorce them, etc….
I'm not justifying the SFL's actions at all, but i don't find odd her asking the ML if he also likes the FL since all other jerks at the bank would love a piece of her. I believe that SFL was testing the waters to see where she stood. Whether she believed him when he said he didn't It is unclear. But still that gave her the green light to pursue him
Yes, this drama is juicy!! I'm really enjoying the ride, some characters more than others. I have a soft spot for the FL. I like where the story is going in regards to her. SHE'S out to make some trouble because she feels like she has been wronged, she's had allowed people around her take advantage for a great part of her life. She has realized that being nice will get her nowhere.
I really enjoyed the relationship of Eun San and Nam Cheol in the early episodes, but once they started meeting in their fake camping ground, It just became quite cringy and the unnatural progression of their affair quite weird. The age gap doesn't bother me, but their dynamic feels very childish. A turn off for me
I just don´t know for sure, but I´m liking this take on the SFL, keeps us guessing. I have a feeling that she is in desperate need of being liked and admired by others, especially by the FL since she is the most envied, hated and the best performing bank clerk in that branch. So that might be her hidden agenda. I have a feeling that in the next couple of episodes she will realize that the FL is actually more dangerous than what she initially thought… and she might really get her claws out for real
Exactly! She was relieved once the FL told her that she was dating the SML, so she actually has no reason to continue to do shitty stuff. I think she is just a big show off. Because if it is true that she believes that FL is a love rival then she wouldn´t invite her over. It´s not a very smart move to invite your BF´s crush over; in any case you would do exactly the opposite. Get him the farthest away possible from the FL.
This is probably the first drama discussion I found where almost everyone is having the same frequency haha. I…
I believe that is because the director and writers are very good providing little by little character information that´s moving forward the story very slowly while keeping us interested in the world they are presenting. They are not your typical kdrama characters, they do things according to their circumstances. I think that´s what makes this series exciting
I truly hope she doesn´t. If she knows, that would make her a total psychopath loser; a beautiful, smart and driven young woman going after a man that has a monumental crush on a coworker, just doesn´t add up.
I hope the writers don´t go on that direction. If she finds out now, then that´s a whole different story. She would do even more crazy shit to save face and protect what she believes is rightfully hers. As we have seen, she has no problem taking what belongs to others hehehehe gosh I don´t like her, but also I can´t hate her yet, even though, she rubs me the wrong way
