It's been 5 months for me and I'm still totally heartbroken. I think the shock and numbness have finally worn off, but the trauma remains. Who knows for how long?

The writer wanted to show a coming of age story. She didn't want the FL to end up with her first love because it's supposedly not realistic. So she wrote it so their jobs and life got in the way of their relationship and they had no choice but to break up I guess. I'm still heartbroken 5 months later though. It was such a beautiful love story but such a sad ending. It was like I went through a breakup of my own it was so sad. I'd never seen such a well written love story so to see them not end up together was just a stab to the heart. If those 2 soulmates couldn't make it work, it sure doesn't give much hope to us mere mortals! Ugh!

Good call. Why do period dramas always seem to end up so sad? The good news about this one is that no one dies. It's still traumatizing though so you are right not trust it.

I wonder how her future love also feels about the fact she names her business after her first love and sets up a rainbow of chairs knowing the rainbow is the symbol of their love. Then, she spends all day in that room working around her memories of him. I think she settled with whoever she married. And now in 2021, she seems so bitter and has lost all her spark and spunk. I think marrying the wrong person did this. It's not Mr. Kim's fault that he can't live up to her first love, but just sad she decided to marry when she was still in love with someone else. It seems to have crushed her spirit. I wouldn't use the word happy to describe the present day Heedo. She seems to be just surviving and luckily has her daughter to have someone in her life she loves since I don't think she has super strong feelings towards her husband just by the way she talked about him and didn't bother to text him to tell him their daughter quit ballet. It's just so sad watching the present day.

Same! Best kdrama I'd ever seen followed by the worst ending ever. I guess that's why it hurt so much, huh? It was just crushing it was so painful when you get such great TV for 14 episodes.

The part where his little brother ends up with Seungwan feels like a total mocking. It was ridiculous and not necessary. Why was that included? Just to show every couple no matter how ridiculous got a happy ending except our main couple who clearly broke up when they were STILL IN LOVE. Who does that? It was just cruel.

Does anyone know if all 6 episodes will come out all at once like lot of shorter Netflix shows? Or will it come out once a week?

I am having the exact same problem. It was easily have been my top drama EVER and earned a 10/10 the first 13 episodes! What to do for rating? The ending has to drop my rating, but how much. That is the question. I didn't even truly watch Ep 16 either. I didn't have the heart to do it.
