Each God has their title and in the drama, Shanggu is The True God of Chaos;Tian Qi the True Demon God; Zhi Yang as the True Leader of the Four; and Bai Jue known as The True Master of Immortal Gods.
“ Although Shang Gu was a goddess, she was the noblest because she had inherited from the ancestral god. ”
According to the drama, Shanggu was the only one who could inherit the “True Power of Chaos”. She came to life at the Heaven and Earth Platform where the Ancestral God communicate to the other 3 True Gods.
When the ancestral god created The Three Realms, he called it “The Chaos of Heaven and Earth“ and not The Big Bang.
“ The Power of chaos was the only power that can create but also destroy everything. ”
And since The Barrier of Chaos created by the Ancestral God to protect the three realms was Weakening, they needed Shanggu, the Chief Chaos God to absorb and cultivate the Power of Chaos to fix it back.

I commented recently about what I understood in the drama ~ You can read it too but what I typed there is somewhat my answer here too. XD

Yes. Shanggu is one of the True four Gods~
But, she was only born 50000 years later after the previous Chaos God named Xuan Yi abandoned his duty and rebelled. She suddenly appeared at the Earth and God Platform. Tian Qi and Yuemi was the first to see her. So they were the ones who took care of her.
Starting from EP 2, You can see that Shanggu had her 10000 years old Birthday.~
During her birthday, it was already 60000 years after Xuan Yi rebelled and was locked within the Netherworld.

EP 16:
=The 4 True Gods - Shanggu, Zhi Yang, Bai Jue and Tian Qi disappeared and the world of the ancient gods was sealed above the Three Realms to never be opened again.
(The Bronze Bridge that connect the God Realm to the Three realms were broken).

=Among the many ancient gods that fought during the Tribulation of Chaos, only three were left. They were Gu Jun, Muguang and Wu Huan. They were worshipped and Mu Guang then became the Heavenly Emperor.
( Zhi Yang entrusted the Three Realms to Gu Jun, Muguang and Wu Huan. )
=The True God's weapons were the only ones left, which fell into the mortal realm. (Mentioned in EP 19 by Mu Guang; Tian Xi's weapon was missing.)

=At first Wu Huan and Gu Jun and lived peacefully at their home called Qingchi Palace. Then, Wu Huan gave birth to Hou Chi. Hou Chi was born so weak and didn't have enough power to come out of her Egg. His Father, Gu Jun, was busy searching for ways to help her increase her power to be able to break out from her Egg.
=Wu Huan did not help Gu Jun at all. And since Gu Jun did not want her to feel bored, he invited Mu Guang to Qingchi Palace to accompany his wife. This is where the affair started and Gu Jun was left alone with Hou Chi.

63000 years later:
=The wedding happened and Gu Jun interrupted it resulting to that Proclamation of Hou Chi's God Identity scene.

Another 60000 years:
=After 40000 years of struggle, Hou Chi finally were able to break out from her shell.
=But Hou Chi still couldn’t use immortal powers since young, as well as had a low spirit aura, so, for her sake, High God Gu Jun also accepted some immortals into the palace to be guards. Feng Ran was saved by Gu Jun and she repayed him by taking care of Qingchi Palace and Hou Chi while he was gone.
=And + 20, 000 years of Hou Chi's training, cultivation and practice.

Now in the present, it has been 123000 years in total.

(In the drama maybe something changed or someone helped Gu Jun for Hou Chi to break out of the shell... )

while violet signify a demon since Tian Qi is the Demon God in Xian Xia dramas?~

That's right! Even if it's also because of money, they try to be more understanding of new comers in XianXia drama land and so, be a little slow burn~
This is why I love how XianXias introduce and create small plots with a lot of character building each episode!~

This is amazing. I think it will definitely get better! The pacing of the story is the same as how Iliked it when I watched "The Long Ballad" while my love and patience for every single thing about each character is the same as how liked it when I watched "TMOPB". And! The same feeling I had with " Love and Redemption" wherein I always feel anxious each episode because it just feels like the writer gives hints that something bad is gonna happen. OMG.
Watching this is like watching Avengers but with the wife of Captain America as the main super hero. Sorry but this was the only way I can explain how I love everything about it xD
I watched a few famous Xian Xia dramas but this is really one of the best. Dude I didn't even noticed I skipped EP1(ofcourse i rewatched xD) because the writer(s) know how to make viewers know and remember the details to help us understand better.

Unfortunately...I think I won't be watching "The legend of Fei" and "The Guardian" because of the reviews about it and cause I still have a lot on my currently watching list.. huhu

Oh no. But, maybe someday, I hope, I'll find myself watching this "if ever" my list becomes zero again xD

Yep! The article shared by @Saffy88 mentioned it~ A lot voted on it to flop even before WOH aired, it quoted! I can’t believe theres a voting poll that had people swarming on it .. But maybe.. they read the novel and had high expectations..or heard a first timer screenwriter is in charge and thus, judged too early.

I was still a new drama watcher when I watched this.. and I was still 12 years old ... but now I don’t remember how to rate this drama so I only putted 7.5 ... since I only remembered this drama had a male lead so scary (ie. I remember him scaring girls that i think bullied/hate the female lead) xD
But i think I also hated the ending .. hmm... But I hope that his character changed for the better. But I’m still scared and refuse to rewatch this even though my bored self want to xD

At first glance of the synopsis, I knew that this drama would be good.. and since the leads are both lawyers.. Such powerful characteristics and potential..
but I actually halted on this drama after I saw the lead continuously spit the food cooked by the fake Italian chef.. I mean of he doesn’t like the food, there is no need to spit it, throw it on the floor and make the chef clean it...
and the fact that not one of the tenants was able to have much complex conversations and characteristics(ie. actively being rational and worried like actually suggesting to stay out of trouble especially when their lawyer died.. i mean not even one left the building even though their lives were at risk >…<)

But now I’m being convinced bu your article.. But .. I’m still not sure since there’s still a lot on my list >…<

I will continue watching and will definitely wait for this “much better bond” ! I just got more excited, ty~

Those people who judged the work to flop even though they did not see the drama for themselves yet should be regretting their actions now. Or else, I’ll hunt them in their dreams!

Thank you for informing me about where to watchEP 37~ <3 Yep, the screenwriter did a very good job~ Whoever he/she is, I admire her vast imagination who made the novel come to life perfectly.. i didn’t read it but I can tell that she puts importance to each poetry so I believe he/she is a admirable writer too!

Above the plots, I really100% love the conversations and secret signs of their “closeness” through the eyes, body and drunkenness between the leads xD
I always burst out laughing at their amazing acting that it even made me think “Are they real?!”

I am very lifeless too every time they fight and cry :(( it was only two fights after 15eps and i think there’s gonna be more coming.. huhu

Ms/Mr Priest, the writer of WOH drama, please allow me to bow to you. You’re amazing. How were you able to write these conversations, all of these plots, and even imagine these perfect settings, time and place for everything perfectly? Are you even human, dear writer? My brain would have burst if I were you...

I was fooled. Just like in the Untamed, the one who showed constant innocence and inferiority to someone; the one you thought would be nothing without their master or money,
is actually the most evil and dangerous.!

Dude. I am speechless. The heck. I was racking my brain throughout the whole 15 episodes about who is evil and always got confused about where the glaze armors has gone to.

Now I realised, that even after watching more than 70 dramas, I am still a person who judge a person by their faces and still does not care about their actions when they are alone nor when they met someone from their past. (ie. Zhao? Jing’s cheating past with Tragicomic Ghost and The dead Mr. Gao’s secret place full of tablets of his family/friends)

All just because I believed the mere rumours. Like wherein Mr.Gao’s SWORD was seen to have killed the Mr.Ruo.
I did not even try to be suspicious at that Jing man when he even pushed Mr. Gao to humiliation and death.

Me after Ep15: What? So Mr. Gao is actually a misunderstood man???!

I’m gonna rest my dumb self first before continuing to take in everything I missed. Phew. What a drama! The drama even gave a hint about how he was suddenly always hosting extravagant gatherings like that day where the armour was stolen immediately after he married a rich woman! It was all to hide the fact that he was the one who stole the armour for himself ! To act useless and pitiful to his brother!
