It started off so strong, what happened?

Oh man.....

I just finished this drama, and honestly i am so sad!
28 episodes were just way to many for this story and they started to insert random problems into the drama, which i didn't like and just couldnt really get into.

The first 10 episodes were really good and i got so into the story and characters.
However, i really dont know what happened afterwards. I was starting to get annoyed by episode 16 or 17 by the childish behavior the characters showed (especially the ML (my gooooood))
The sudden miscomunication was very hard for me to watch and since the chasing arc was so long, i found myself wishing that the male lead would just leave the female lead alone at some point.

After the first few episodes it was clear that the story would progress slowly, so if you're not into that this drama is not for you.
I personally really enjoyed it.
However, the timeline of the relationship was really confusing and i personally wish that the drama would have tackled and explained what happened between the main couple in the past in more detail than they did.
Since their past was always referenced and always present in the episodes, just showing a few clips from their past at the end of each episode just didnt work for me personally.

The cast was absolutly perfect!
The star of the show was definitly the child - Quanquan. The actor Cui Yi Xin really impressed me!
As i work with young kids they made him a little too smart and too empathic for a 4 year old xD, but whenever he was on screen he delivered a very strong performance.

The two main leads were also very convincing, and i LOVE that they made Min Hui a capable and strong woman who could defend herself. This type of female lead really was a breath of fresh air in the romance drama scene!
Also the main leads have really nice chemistry. We had to wait quite long for their first kiss, but when they finally did, i felt the butterflies haha^^
I also really fell for Cao Mu and Chen Jia Jun. They were very different from the main couple and this created a nice balance throughout the story.
The doctor and ballet dancer, however, really tested my patience. I started skipping their scenes, because i found them very cringe and in my eyes there was just no chemistry, so i cant really evatuate them.

I my opinion this dramas problem was the middle part of the show: the second chasing arc really destroyed it for me. I found the reason of the conflict very hard to understand and the characters actions following it very unresonable.
From then on, i just started losing interest. The ML chasing the FL was way too long and just felt repetitive at some point. It sadly got really boring.
The final conflict and "fight" against Cheng Qi Rang during the last episodes got more enjoyable, but at that point, the second chasing arc had already kind of ruined the whole drama for me.

As much as i loved this show at the beginning, it was too exhausting to give it a high score in it's story and rewatch value.
Therefore, a 7 overall is the best i can give it.

For me, the characters Min Hui, Cao Mu and (of course) Quanquan were the absolute highlight and i am glad that i finished this drama without dropping.
Even though this review might sound really harsh at times, i do recommend this drama ^^
