I think it's braver scriptwriting if you're prepared to kill off a lead, because the audience 99.99% of the time is expecting them to be not really dead, so then what's the point?unless it leads to a MAJOR twist at the end, which I'm hoping this one does.

I enjoyed the first few episodes as well, what kept me going after that was wanting to find out what happened in the past. I don't care about the current stuff at all. Feels boring to me, and I feel like the FL has taken a nosedive in her current life after the first few episodes. She now feels weak and boring

That's what doesn't make sense. Historically, people have pushed their children to be successful because it benefits them. Your child gains favour and gives you favours. You want your child to live you, so they will want to do these things for you. People always tried to send their children up, not down. Dogs are more loyal to owners who show them affection and give them treats. This 'villain' is just thick.

I like his performance as ancient Ho Da - he breaks my heart. Modern Ho Da I'm not feeling though. There's a couple of moments, but not enough for me personally
