Her behaviour from ep 15 to 16 makes no sense. Bad writing or bad editing?

I will sometimes continue to watch dramas I'm not enjoying, either because I think it has the potential to improve, or because it was great at the beginning and I'm hoping they get their groove back again. Also, I'm stubborn and I like finishing things. A drama has to be pretty horrific (to me) before I will admit defeat and drop it. As a result, I've watched a remarkable amount of shite. To be fair though, I no longer rate them while I'm watching.

I'm only on ep 9, but these two crack me up, getting all lusty in front of Grandpa. They look like they can't wait to rip each other's clothes off. Reminds me of when I first met my husband.

It's fine to see flaws in people, we all have them. We're only human, no use pretending people are perfect.

I didn't enjoy her character in L&R, but I like her so far in this. I feel some chemistry with the ML, which I didn't feel at all in L&R. All good - different people get different vibes from different things.

I know - I got some very weird and harsh comments because I commented that the writing in the first couple of episodes wasn't great. People are great at advertising things as long as it's what they want to hear, apparently.

Well, they can't justify a low rating if they're not watching it. Do you only want people who give shows a 10 Star from episode 1 to share their opinions on dramas? That would be a bit odd.

I'm not sure what you mean. Lots of people submitted ratings after the first episode, some of which were very high. I don't think they hated it.

So nice. I'm an old lady, and there were so many moments in episodes 5 and 6 that touched me and really warm my heart. I like those 'small' acting moments that convey so much - one gesture can convey so much. The actors and director are currently doing a wonderful job.

I'd really like to see this kind of example in youth dramas. I have a teenage daughter, and the relationships I see on TV with young people really concerns me.

8.3 is still a very good score, and there's plenty of time for the drama to keep proving itself.

As you would have noted in my post, I specifically said that I would have applied that rating to episode 1. It's great if you think the writing of that episode was amazing - different strokes for different folks.

People still rate Meteor Garden highly (and BoF - the only two adaptations of that story I have seen) and it is a revolting story, not a love story. The only good bit of MG was when she kicked him in the face.

Agreed. They're developing a really natural, healthy and supportive relationship, which is nice to see in a drama. I hate seeing toxicity portrayed as 'love', which this drama certainly does not. Lovely to watch.

Most of the comments have been pretty positive. It's certainly improving vastly to me since episode 1. I'm really enjoying it at the moment, but not all dramas are for all people, and that's fine. Everything is open for criticism.

Oh, there are definitely some unhinged Cdramas fans who give very low scores for a variety of stupid reasons, there's no denying that. There will also be people who didn't start watching the drama the instant it started airing, have started watching it now, and perhaps found the first couple of episodes not so good. Personally, I no longer post ratings of a drama while I'm watching it as a general rule - my opinion can swing so dramatically over the course of a drama, that it doesn't really seem

Some people will have only just started watching it, so may be rating it based on the (in my opinion) rough first couple of episodes.

I'm not an anti (I'm waaaaaay too old for that nonsense) and I would have given episode 1 a 5/10. The writing was as rough as guts. I really started to warm to the leads at episode 4, but some of the writing is still very questionable. It's a credit to the cast that they're doing such a good job. I'm hoping the writing continues to improve, because there's only so much actors can be expected to do to pull off a good drama
