For me i enjoyed this drama from episode 1 to 11 and for me it was a solid 8.8, loved it, waited every Friday because story was so unique and chemistry was off the charts especially when they didn't get together till episode 7. However, episode 12 was absolute trash that ruined everything that happened before and since the drama needs to be rated for all the episodes, going to give it to 1.0.
There was absolutely no reason for them to include *that* scene which they did anyway and i don't give a damn what others think about it.
People saying it was only a fictional drama, well yeah right good for you but there are some things BIGGER than just a mere fictional drama, it matters what you or don't you portray in a fictional drama. That was a no no.
406-000-1290, this alone is more than enough to know in 5 years time what this drama lovers are talking about, including me.
I am so glad finally we get to have a drama which is a complete package, it has everything. Don't know about others, for me it's the best one in 2024 (and yes i know it needs to finish first)
Just to make it clear, unnecessary hate on the remake just to show how good the original version was is quite a petty thing. I loved the original and it's one of my favorite dramas ever but it doesn't mean i start bad mouthing the remake to force my opinion on others who haven't watched the original and are just enjoying this drama.
Yes, it's true that Chinese Original version shows more clarity about family bonding, character development and day to day family hardships etc but Korean remake in its own way is still a good watch so far. Korean remake depicts their own culture and obviously it's fast paced and won't go into details which original did probably because it's a 16 episode drama and not 40+.
And i have seen so many people in the comments worried about love triangle so let me throw it out to you, if this remake is done exactly how the original was, then no need to panic. In the Original version, Love Triangle was mild, at times you felt there isn't even a love triangle. SML never liked FL in a romantic way. He had his reasons why he wanted to spend his lifetime with her and that's it.
And lastly i am not forcing anyone but if you do happen to like this Korean remake version (which i am currently so far) then i suggest after finishing this do watch the original Chinese version, you are in for a treat. Lets make the community positive and avoid dragging one or the other version down :)
Yes, if everything goes according to the original version then don't worry there won't be a serious love triangle, in fact the love triangle aspect in Chinese version was minimal and mild. You wouldn't actually feel there is a love triangle. SML never liked FL romantically in the original, he just wanted to be with her so he could register into her family legally.
There is definitely a love triangle so maybe you should drop the drama if you hate it that bad
yes if this remake goes exactly the way as the original, then love triangle isn't actually love triangle in this. in the original SML never had any romantic feeling for the FL, he only wanted her to stay with him forever to keep the family bond and to legally register into the family and that's that.
it’s a remake. the original plot is a love triangle which is what they are following 😒
Exactly, the love triangle in original version was not even glorified that much, yes there was love triangle but as you said it was mild and not like a competition which i am afraid this remake might go that way
have you not seen go ahead chinese drama this one is adopted from that the love triangle is not the main plot…
This is my only worry, Korean dramas like to glorify love triagles way too much than actually needed. The original version had also love triangle but it didn't make you feel at all like a love triangle. It was more focused on family dynamics.
Having watched the original Chinese Version, Go Ahead dwells more into in depth family situations, character growth etc, for me the original is 9.5/10. The only thing i didn't like in the Chinese version is i felt ML was too much clingy and irritable once they all hit adult life. Hope the remake don't make ML the same.
The remake in its own way so far is attractive, adds somewhat new flair but misses lots of details needed for the growth of characters in particular which is probably because that's how most K-Dramas operate and i am fine by that. It's still enjoyable to me.
The adaptation will always get compared with the original, it has happened before, is happening and will happen in the future as well. That's just how it is!
For me personally, the original Chinese Version is a masterpiece and it's hard to beat that but still you can enjoy the remake without having to highlight every little detail you get your hands on to criticize this version.
My only worry with this remake is if they focus too much on love triangle because that's what K-drams like to do, love triangle in the original version was almost non-existent like you wouldn't feel there was actually a love triangle. It was more focused on how to keep and be a family together despite facing hardships.
Really sucks :(

Also never said in my original post that people who "like" this drama are liking the garbage. Have a good day :)
