I looked up Lee Shia's Instagram, and she looks so much like Park Hana with the brown bob cut! Seems like Jung-Won…
(you caught my reference lmao Aaliyah was the moment!! First celebrity I was ever a fan of ðŸ˜)
Re: Jeongwon idk why people think she is going to retain the same personality - she was thrown off a building ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ that's definitely the type of thing that will have you moving differently
(Also as a Nansuk shooter I am happy that it seems like today's episode is going to clear up the misconception that she killed Sangcheol 👀)
I don't want total redemption for Nansuk but my God is it fun to watch her go against people lol.
The way this is turning into Jin Taeseok Must Die...?! I'm here for it.
I think Haneul was the star of today's episode. He was standing on business. Jeongwon's in a coma? No biggie, the press conference is still on! Listen I'm just glad that SOMEONE finally called Taeseok out... of course I also liked seeing Nansook helping Haneul and I especially loved seeing Nansook run up on Taeseok ðŸ¤
I'm looking forward to seeing how Youngchae and Sehoon use the video. Hopefully they just expose it to the masses but I'm sure Sehoon will (privately) use it as leverage to get that chairman position. I hope he gets messy and releases that publically.
Did anyone notice that when Nansook confronted Taeseok, Nansook threatened him with "I'm going to come after your kid" - she didn't say names or specify the gender of the kid but it's interesting that Taeseok's mind immediately went to Semi.
I'm looking forward to seeing Hyera and Nansook team up in tomorrow's episode. The preview also implies that we are going to revisit the whole "Sehoon isn't Taeseok's son" storyline. Taeseok said, "I shouldn't have taken you in" which is confirmation that Sehoon isn't his.
Oh and btw I follow Lee Shia on Instagram and she changed her hairstyle (it's a bob and she dyed her hair brown) Dailies film as they air so this means she's either written out or she will be back. I want Jeongwon to live (if Jeongwon were to die that would kill so many narrative threads...), I'm glad the screenwriter isn't using Jeongwon's coma as an excuse to stop the plot from moving. Nansook teaming up with Hyera will keep me entertained until that situation gets resolved. (I also seriously doubt Jeongwon will be as impulsive if she lives.)
Oh and Hyera is wild, literally gambling her life so she could separate herself from Sua "guilt-free". (Imagine if she would've died like ... this is CRAZY plot armor 🤡) But most importantly, we got confirmation that that was something she did on her own, not something Taeseok ordered. I remember there was a scene a while ago where Minjeong was trying to get Hyera to admit the truth but Hyera was trying to gaslight herself and Minjeong into believing that Taeseok ordered it. Nice subversion.
Excellent cinematography, awesome OST, and Kim Yoojung was the standout performer, hands down. She completely exceeded my expectations. Oh and I'm a new fan of Kim Dohoon now.
Story wise... things started falling apart for me around episode 10. I feel like the ending was rushed and the whole subplot with Moon Dohyuk was underdeveloped. JaeOh died in vain (I liked him better than Junseo tbh) This show would've benefited from being 16 episodes long instead of 12.
Either way it put me onto a new webtoon so I can't complain too much...
I give it a solid 7/10. In academic terms I give this drama is "C" grade, passable. Decent but I don't see myself rewatching it for a very long time.
Now to add all the recommended shows to my plan to watch list lol
Kang-Jae was wildin out 24/7, it was almost hilarious to watch 😠chaos incarnate!I loved Eun-Jae's training…
I'm definitely planning to watch all of her dramas. After I finish this I am going to start Two Mothers 😠but watching JSH as an actress is so fun because she looks innocent and fragile but brings the heat.
(Since KBS2 is on a quality run it would be cool if they could get her for their next daily 👀)
You're right I've tried watching this like 6 years ago but I dropped it because Nino annoyed me lol but this time around he's not that bad. I think I am actually about to get to the episodes I haven't seen before. Next episode preview shows Gyobin meeting "Sohee" which means I'm getting to the point where I'll be watching not rewatching.
Kangjae seems like he's going to eventually have a love line with Haneul and honestly? I'm along for the ride ðŸ˜
Behind every FL's successful revenge glow up is an older woman (who usually also got screwed over by the token chaebol family) and for Eunjae that woman is Min Hyunju. Hyunju's revenge storyline c doesn't overshadow or seem trivial compared to Eunjae's - in fact, they compliment each other perfectly.
I am absolutely having a blast watching her psychologically break Eunjae to make her less into a "bright personality" and more into a revenge incarnate. I actually loved it when she told Eunjae to stop being so servile and apologetic as that's Eunjae's biggest flaw. It also helps Eunjae build the resilience and confidence she is going to need when the revenge starts. Jeong Aeri is great as always... Her characters always have a quiet intensity about them.
Between Min Total Beauty and Bella Beauty Salon I am jealous of South Korea's beauty salons I feel like they'd be so fun to go to lol I also like this storyline of Min Total Beauty and Bella Beauty being in competition with each other.
And I also like watching kdramas that are filmed in December lol it's always cool to see the Christmas lights around Seoul.
I'll probably leave another comment when the revenge starts - right now I'm on episode 45 so this it's still in the "preparation" stage.
Btw I am also glad that Kangjae has STOPPED tweaking and has moved on from Aeri. He's way more tolerable to watch now. While Mija still annoys me from time to time, it is cool watching the Gus work with Min Hyeonju with her revenge plan (construction business).
Side note: I'm currently watching Amor Fati (the last daily drama from SBS), the actress who plays Mija plays the toxic chaebol MIL there, very similar to Mi-in's character. Seeing her here playing the opposite type of character is giving me whiplash 🤣
I still dont get why so many people hate JW. She is the one who suffered childhood trauma. Her mother abandoned…
Reading comments on Jeongwon is crazy because I get the level of vitrol towards characters like Nansool Taeseok or Youngchae who are just evil and entitled JUST to be evil and entitled. Jeongwon is literally traumatized, and that includes making questionable decisions (such as agreeing to the initial identity swap), being impulsive etc. It would honestly be weirder and kinda unrealistic (VERY unrealistic) if she went through all of that and was your typical bright personality.
Jeongwon's my favorite KBS2 FL since like... Eunjo from Miss Montecristo. I'm riding with jeongwon until the very end!
Ya I found it comical he just casually showed up at the hospital and everyone knew it was him but stfu. Haneul…
Taeseok's actions this episode + the preview of next really confuse me lol. He has the opportunity to kill off Jeongwon, does it, gives his blood so she can live... just to try to kill her again?! ðŸ˜
If I was Jeongwon too I wouldn't forgive Hyera like idc what anyone says abandoning your child is a big deal and Jeongwon is justified to not welcome her with open arms. I would rather watch Haneul and Jeongwon be the dynamic duo (with Mihyang and her lover as backup) but if we're right I feel like Hyera taking care of Jeongwon until she recovers will magically "erase" her sins. I hope I am wrong about this. (On a similar note I low-key enjoy it when Jeongwon calls Mihyang "Mom" in front of Hyera it's so petty but Hyera earned it)
I like your idea of Taeseok's secretary being the one to sneak Jeongwon out. That's probably the only way to get her past Taeseok without raising a red flag. What better way to prove to Mihyang that he loves her by helping her daughter take revenge lol
Of course thats how the episode ends 😠Taeseok needs a character study how do you attempt to kill someone but…
I'm going to zone in on the potential birth secret because what kind of twist lmaoooo
Maybe it was because of the situation (which I don't blame them, everyone is emotional) but it didn't raise a red flag that they were both B negative, a rare blood type? Also, the nurse told the Mihyang that Rh+ blood can't go to an Rh- patient. When she said that I knew I immediately had to crack open my pathology textbook hehe
I know I'm going down a slippery slope here by applying real-world knowledge to a k-drama but Rh negative blood is uncommon in S. Korea, like only 0.3-0.5% of the population have it. Only 10% of the world's have type B blood (which is actually the rarest blood type!) so this is more than just a coincidence. But of course after rewatching the scene, my scientific explanation doesn't mean much lol - Hyera's expression when she questioned Jeongwon's blood type said the quiet part out loud.
So if Jeongwon is Taeseok's daughter, this means Sehoon can't be his son due to Korea's broadcast standards regarding sibling-sibling relationships. But you know, compare the way Taeseok interacts with Semi vs how he interacts with Sehoon. I think Taeseok may subconsciously (or even consciously) know that Sehoon isn't his son... I wonder who is father is...
My only guess is Kibeom but the only way this would work is if there was a mixup at the hospital or something. Not even like Taeseok ordered it but like the nurses might have accidentally swapped the babies name tags or something ... This theory may have holes in it, especially when you take in account Sehoon's mother and whatever her role in this is.
I guess we'll find out over the next 6 weeks... 👀 Whatever happens, Taeseok better not go soft on us lol
So ppl still bored? we not entertained? 😂 I’m confused , didn’t jeong won have the press conference and…
I agree tbh. If this becomes Hyera's revenge (or more like she's learning actions have consequences...) I probably won't drop since we're at ep 69 but my enthusiasm will wane. Not sure who else would get revenge on Taeseok... Hyera is all over the place, Haneul is too passive and Youngchae? Don't make me laugh 😠I think she'll give the video to Jeongwon eventually too... Despite what she said I think she was clearly bothered by Jeongwon dying...
I guess Sehoon will eventually be revealed to not be the son of the chairman... since like you said, Jeongwon and Sehoon got intimate with each other. But then who's son is Sehoon? Kibeom's? (I don't put a baby switch past Taeseok ðŸ˜) How would Sehoon's mom even fit into this?
Re: Jeongwon idk why people think she is going to retain the same personality - she was thrown off a building ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ that's definitely the type of thing that will have you moving differently

We're so back!!
Jeongwon's my favorite KBS2 FL since like... Eunjo from Miss Montecristo. I'm riding with jeongwon until the very end!
Sehoon and Haneul being brothers could work - and it would grant him his divorce from Youngchae, since she would be his step sister...
One thing is for sure.... The screenwriter gave us a LOT to think about this weekend 😂
This twist feels super unnecessary. What's going to happen next? Taeseok finds out and suddenly starts doting on Jeongwon like he does to Semi? 🤮
If I was Jeongwon too I wouldn't forgive Hyera like idc what anyone says abandoning your child is a big deal and Jeongwon is justified to not welcome her with open arms.
