However , I want to add that it is up in the air whether or not Dongseok REALLY had Hwayoung because Sukhee found out about their relationship by seeing a tabloid of Dongseok and Hwayoung. Dongseok was pretty angry about the article and told Hwayoung to leave him alone. (it was implied Hwayoung paid someone to write it as part of her master plan to acquire Dream) Sukhee never confronted Hwayoung or Dongseok (she ran away to the countryside upon seeing the tabloid in question) and interestingly enough... Chairman Ma didn't actually approve of either relationship... until Dongseok disappeared and Hwayoung revealed that she was pregnant with his "heir"!

As for Hwayoung, the second child would've been with Dongseok, Jangmi and Seorin's dad. That was the child that she lost because she claims Sukhee pushed her. (In reality, Sukhee didn't push her, Hwayoung was warned - by Dracula no less - not to go out because she was heavily pregnant. I don't remember if they actually interacted but Hwayoung ended up fainting and tumbling down the steps, leading to the miscarriage. Timeline wise this happened in 1995, while Junho was born in May 1990!)

Oh by kbs2 drama I meant pearl in red, which last I checked (I dropped at episode 16) was a sitcom cosplaying as a revenge makjang... with the most one-dimensional characters I've seen.
Our happy days is on KBS1, and their dailies focus a little less on revenge. It's not bad but I just found other things on my watch list more interesting so I basically forgot about it 😭

It's funny... when the press releases of this drama came out I had predicted that Hongju would eventually be working with Hwayoung to take over dream, since she was described as an "ambitious employee"
Sanwol didn't get a press release so imagine my surprise when I learned their "tactic" was pretty much grifting and living off the chairman. Like I was expecting an evil mother daughter duo lol. They're more like comedic characters... that aren't really funny.
In fact, since a new corporate sponsor was brought in (the chicken place that the twins, Bora, Taepyung and Sukhee went to) I imagine Sanwol is going to get a store next since that's usually what happens to these types of characters lol
Hongju playing chess with the twins has potential to be very interesting, especially if she can leverage her friendship with Junho
Jang-Mi low-key IS a Mary Sue now that I think about it... no wonder why I prefer Seo-Rin and Hwa-Young to her!…
Hwayoung is truly the main character and no one can tell me otherwise lol I realized Jangmi is a Mary Sue when Junho suddenly became obsessed with her and Baekho is still willing to marry her after being lied to multiple times 😭. I see Seorin's attitude is controversial but like ... 1) would you be happy if you were in a coma and woke up to see someone lived your life, was about to get married to the person you liked, and deceiving everyone for a revenge plan that made zero sense? From Seorin's perspective it does seem like Jangmi wanted to steal her life. 2) Seorin was literally raised by Hwayoung.... you think Hwayoung taught her emotional regulation skills? Shit, Seorin was established to be a not so nice person at the beginning of the drama. Her reaction IS in character whether people like it or not 3) Seorin was raised by Hwayoung for 30 years and like she said, that doesn't just get undone overnight. Tbh I am actually happy she's not bowing down to Jangmi like everyone else is 🤷🏾♀️
And of course it became more obvious in the most recent episode (97) with Jangmi successfully taking over aspects of Seorin's life and Seorin getting yelled at for being upset over it. And when she was upset over being replaced instead of seeing where she's coming from she gets yelled at about having a "bad character". Jangmi can do no wrong!
Yoonchul is the biggest piece of shit in this show. You're Jaekyung's friend but you don't see how much he values Haneul? You want Jaekyung to lose custody because you think Jaekyung should be a pro golfer instead? Stop being such a loser. I hope Jaekyung belts Yoonchul in the mouth
And Seowoo is so immature like "I am still there [living with Yuna and Junho] because I don't want to give up like you" like why are we acting like Yeonhee chose to work at Lala Group when in reality her staffing agency placed her there? At least Soonboon was there to talk some sense into her.
Sidenote Seowoo's voice becomes so grating whenever she yells it's like nails on chalkboard to me

I think I started it randomly during the DramaFever days but the first episode hooked me because Lee Yuri's literally breaking out of prison to crash a wedding! It's intense and very fast paced. It was a tvN daily and imo those were the best ones for their intensity

Seo Hyunjoo is the writer. In addition to writing this she also wrote The Second Husband and The Third Marriage, two older (but not too old, they both came out in the 2020s) MBC dailies. And she has other dramas too...
As for the other dramas, I can think of two where they kill the twin off - The Promise (2016) and not a daily but still makjang AF, Queen of Ambition.
It would be quite ironic if the professor died by getting hit by a car driven by Hwayoung lol and who would've thought Junho's unrequited obsession had a genetic component ...
Wow... everything is happening all at once it seems like. This week has been quite explosive in the land of The First Man! Not only did the twins successfully reveal themselves (I was expecting a delay or distraction of sorts) but Sukhee is starting to remember as well. Sukhee revenge glow up incoming?

I actually like Junho (yes, really) so I'll be glad that tomorrow he's doing something else besides obsessing over Jangmi. Now I feel like Secretary Kang is his dad, it was foreshadowed a while back but I'll be VERY surprised if it's not him. Despite my (very strong) dislike of Junho's one sided love of Jangmi, it's actually going to come in handy here... Because Hwayoung can't outright kill her now lol.

Sidenote: technology is truly amazing lol it's crazy to think Eunjung is basically talking to herself. But one thing is for sure, any future daily drama that involves identical twins will have big shoes to fill! No more allowing the long lost twins to meet once and killing off one of them!!! lol

We have: - Baekho's parentage reveal - Junho's father reveal - Sukhee's revenge 👀👀👀 (I think chairman ma is going to have her & Jangmi move into the house at some point... you know in dailies everyone eventually ends up living with each other anyway lol) - Dongseok coming back? (I don't think he's actually dead tbh....) - the case of the missing "lipstick" - Hongju actually doing something of note? - Nambong somehow stops evading karma and faces consequences for his behavior - and of course, the battle of who ends up owning Dream.
I gotta give it to Seo Hyunjoo... my beef with her aside, this may be the best drama I've seen of hers... so far...

Yeonhee has grown on me A LOT and I enjoy watching her fight back against Yuna and Junho! The kitchen scene was iconic... and she had no power then. Just wait until she acquires the power to make them miserable. (This makes me want to watch Cheongdam Scandal since Choi Jungyoon is also the FL lol)
I feel slightly more benevolent towards Jaekyung now especially seeing the lengths he's willing to go for Haneul. Speaking of Haneul I am about to hit that part of the drama where he learns that Junho is his "father" ... Yuna is so wrong for lying like this ...
Still can't stand Yoonchul (the male neighbor) HOWEVER Minjung (the female neighbor) grew on me... I loved how she confronted Yuna and even called the cops on herself preemptively 🤣 anyway I knew she was real AF when she took her earrings off and tied her hair back upon seeing Yuna! Hyejin and Mingoo are So Not Here for Yuna and Junho and it's entertaining watching their friendship with Junho implode in real time. I actually loved how Mingoo didn't cosign the way Junho powertripped on Yeonhee.
As for Yuna it's extremely obvious that she only married Junho for access to Lala Group. Junho is so dumb he doesn't even realize smh. I did laugh at the fashion department employees calling Yuna "Miranda" as in the boss from The Devil Wears Prada. Because I've seen SO many dailies and this is the first time I've seen the "team leader" 2FL act like a boss from hell lol. Because while 2FLs are usually villains they usually don't abuse their subordinates....
Tbh I'm not surprised that the actress playing Seowoo has only acted in one thing since this drama ended ... her actress is very fond of making her eyes big anytime she conveys a strong emotion. I swear she only has one expression. So I don't think she can act well HOWEVER I do appreciate Seowoo's loyalty to Yeonhee.
I could care less about the doctor and whatever BL storyline they're trying to do with him.... However he's just as bad as an actor as the actress playing Seowoo... so I guess the PD got that casting right.
