I don't get HW character. I feel bad for the actress because either the director isn't directing her or her character…
Agreed. Lee Soyeon can definitely act and pull off intense characters but the writer doesn't seem to have any idea what they're doing. Especially since I'm on episode 10 and the male lead hasn't shown up yet ... I feel like sandeul is supposed to be the male lead instead of the actual one!
Hyeji's revenge is keeping me tuned in... even tho I'm definitely fast forwarding whenever certain characters show up!
Admittedly, I'm only really watching this for Hyeji's antics (and Ivo π₯Ί). Hyewon is as vanilla as they come although it feels like most of the drama has been obnoxious side characters or pointless flashbacks.
I'll give it until the 33% mark and hope it picks up by then ... if not I'll just rewatch an older daily
Just like I said I would be back when that drowning scene happens and I'm gagged at who Dajung married. My guess was completely off, but this will surely lead to a very entertaining and very messy next few weeks lol
Is Elegant Empire any good? Atleast 96 of the 100 episodes have been released, so I may tune it as I wait for…
I've heard negative things about elegant empire (one of my twitter mutuals is livetweeting) so for the mean time I've been rewatching an older daily - Fatal Promise. I'm enjoying that one.
The drama I'm referring to in my original comment is called Without Blood or Tears starring Lee Soyeon!
Sure! Seijin gets into a car accident and loses her memory. Nayeon reunites with her dad (he acknowledges both as his daughters) and Yookyung goes to jail. Seijin and Taejun divorce and Taejun goes overseas and reunites with Sejin (who doesn't remember them) The second lead and Nayeon reunite after some time and it's an open ending that implies that they become a couple
Never heard of it. No Idea who these actors are, but is it any good?
I'd say it's very good if you like the "marriage as a weapon" revenge dramas. Lee Yoori (my icon) plays the lead Nayeon and its so fun watching her face off against the evil character.
I can't believe Dajung and Sangchul are finally divorcing ... I thought it would honestly take another 10 episodes. Now open your heart to Yohan lol
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's episode. With Seran finally coming clean to Sangchul about who Songyi's mother is, it means that the plot is (slowly) picking up.
Also: Songyi and Anna being friends adds a whole new layer to things... They're actually sisters...
exactly, i am disappointed with how Da Jung asked, did kang se Ran lock us in ? did she really do thattt? geeez…
Seems like being locked up caused short term memory loss for JDJ ... This week's episodes opened up with seran talking down on deoksoo's death and she's been openly talking about revenge for several episodes. Like gee, I wonder who done it...
She's the main character but she has no presence. Depending on the ep the main character feels like Yohan and/or Seran smh
I don't have much to say about today's episode but it honestly feels like seran is the main character. And I don't have a problem with that because Dajung doesn't seem to do much... I'd rather watch Serans messiness than Dajung argue with Sangchul and Mari about divorcing .... Like girl, take the L, open your eyes and be happy with yohan lol. It's honestly painful.
Speaking of Yohan, the most interesting part of this episode was the return of the subplot of him trying to buy out (?) dream foods... The look he gave his uncle could've melted ice... I'm wondering what kind of dark deeds CEO Wang has committed... We know he took over goeun milling (deoksoo's company) and may or may not have something to do with Noel losing her memory, but we'll see
Next episode seems like we're going back to square 1 re:affair ... Dajung accuses seran and Sangchul of killing Deoksoo. She's right, just not in the way she thinks (that he had a heart attack because of the shock of those two cheating not Seran tripped him)
Seems like Jihoon and Seran are going to be involved with each other... the writing is on the wall. I'm betting they're gonna get married for strictly business since CEO Wang wants a business deal with Bobaejung. makes you wonder what's going to eventually happen with Sangchul... Especially if Dajung divorces him and gets with Yohan.
This drama lead me to dust off my long neglected MDL account. The potential is there but the pacing of this is pretty bad when it comes to daily dramas (I mostly watch daily dramas lol) like, It feels very... slow to me. If that drowning scene doesn't happen by ep 50 I'm gonna come back to this one in February
That being said I'm hoping that the preview of EP 43, the scene where dajung gets physical with seran actually happens and isn't like, a dream sequence or something ...
Bobae is probably my favorite character right now (protect her at all costs), Yohan is a close second. Ngl I find the subplot with yohans family (Noelle, Jeguk and the cousin) boring although Anna and Yohan are cute! Seran needs to go to the kdrama school of makjang villainesses because the amount of near misses she's had so far is crazy haha joo aera she is not!
