I hated the original Ossan's Love. It was only because it was EarthMix that I watched and I was happily surprised by the remake. They kept enough of the original but the Thai touches and twists were perfect.
Did something happen behind the scenes that caused the production to wrap up early? The Series moved at 1 pace then after the surgery it was "let's do all this, wrap it up and shutdown". The main couple was hot in the beginning and lukewarm at the end. None of this was the actors' faults, they delivered with the script they had. I'd hoped to see Petch in Red Peafowl but they say that's canceled, I hope not. These guys deserve another series. And now I'm wary of eating cucumbers😁
Honestly, I could never empathize with Chian or F4M and there came a point where it stressed me out watching them,…
I don't think they were bad people, just simply teens. High school is that time when you're never sure if the person you like likes you, or if they want the relationship as much as the other. Everyone's flirting, everyone is trying to figure out who they are, what friends think and say is a more important than anything else, it's confusing and messy. Sadly, you end up hurting others and getting hurt when no one meant to hurt the other.
I realized after their half of LITA that it would be hard to follow up. Boss and Noeul have wonderful chemistry as we all know, I love their OST, but WTH happened to the script? I haven't read the books so maybe it's clear there. It seemed like this whole build up about the parallel worlds then all of a sudden P'Vir is apologizing, admitting he didn't come from a parallel world (so what were we seeing, and what about the disappearing/reappearing scar?) and it becomes all about the crazy mom. still feel bad for Zone. Also, I would have liked more screen time for the side couple.
When it first started I didn't expect much. It's a sweet fluffy story but I liked the football (soccer) marketing story line, I thought that was unique. As the weeks passed the series grew on me
This was sweet. I liked that both stories unfolded from very different backgrounds. I saw the miracle of the school uniform: when 1 character wears it the age difference is visible but when both are in jeans (or less) they look close to the same age (I know 7 years).
I liked it but why ask Kazuaki is he still liked him, be his boyfriend, and then seek out Hagiwara? I could not understand why Hagiwara stayed with a girlfriend who had unrealistic expectations. If you're asexual that's fine but don't go from sex all the time to never, refuse to explain yourself, and still plan on marriage. She was a contemptible, selfish character. He should have ended it long ago (and before starting something IMHO) but their break-up helped both. The Series was sweet but ended a bit abruptly.
If you kill a main off in episode 1 (but bring him back again) at least don't let the sacrifices throughout be for nothing and have the final episode return you to that death and end.
What is the title of the novel this is based on? On YouTube comments (trailer) someone said they loved the book. I love ForceBook and crazy mysteries so I can't wait!
SPOILER ALERT Okay, the actors are not at fault for this mess, they did great with the awful screenplay. So many plotholes (e.g., why did Film take all those photos and do nothing with them?) Where was Nathee at the end? How did Mawin and Manglorn stay in a boyband when they never made it to practice after episode 2? Why did Kengkla spend 7 episodes complaining that he auditioned to be an actor and did not want to be in a boyband, jump at being in a boyband in the last 10 minutes? Why did the agencies suddenly join together? A hot mess and also, this series needed an intimacy coordinator in a major way. Again, the actors did great, loved the music, hated the storyline of which there was very little.
I may have liked this better had I not seen the original back in the day. Kudos to the cast who did a great job with the scripts they were given. Better screenwriting and editing would have helped.
