I actually have no issue with the vertical format. I do cast to my TV so I'm not stuck holding my phone. I prefer fast-paced vs slow-burn (A Winter Sun... being the exception) so vertical pacing but on regular format would be my dream.

I really liked this series but it would have been better (IMHO) if Big Jane really had been a demon as shown in the trailer. Otherwise, it was enjoyable.

I wish the final episode wasn't so focused on a pregnancy and gave us more of the other 2 couples as well.

Idk who did the sound but it fluctuates between barely able to hear them to so loud you need to turn it down. I like shibari and it seemed as if the writer wanted to write a story centered on shibari but that was the extent of their idea. The poor actors had to deal with horribly written dialogue and a lengthy dying scene.

I liked this series a lot even though, as an extrovert, I had trouble with Xiao Fan not speaking up. Ending episode came, everything was perfect UNTIL the narration said (paraphrasing here) if Xiao Fan had never met Lu Qing he would've been a poor farmer like his dad with a fiesta wife like his mom, had a kid and 2 more and lived a simple lively life. But because he was TWISTED from meeting Lu Qing, he didn't mind being twisted but disliked being alone. I found that all very homophobic, and suggests sexual orientation is a choice, not the way you're born, and suggests being gay is being twisted??? Very sad to hear that, made me decide not to read the book.

I agree about the MDL rating and I always wonder about people who drop a review before a series ends. That final shot of the series was perfect.

When I initially saw the trailer and saw students and military in it I didn't know I could watch it while having seen the images from October 6, 1976. Then I worried since the Thai government was involved in the production that it might be biased in the narrative. I was so happy to see that it was just a beautiful story set in history, and I loved the line about it doesn't matter the belief, it's always the people, not the belief, who ruin it. The ending scene made me cry knowing so many people had to live their lives without marriage equality protection (and many countries still need it). The cast, crew, and writers delivered a perfect series.

only BL with not a single happy ending for anyone, and it had 2 seasons!

I usually hate non-happy endings because if I want to see that I can look at myself and those around me, I don’t need to seek it out online. I watched thecfirst 2 episodes, then waited a couple months them finished it and I'm glad I did. Many good points, many philosophical questions. That comment about his being like a tropical fish that didn't like the heat, and hoping someone remembered his existence broke me.
