I love the slow-paced, deliberate showing of the artistry in the form of actions and facial expressions. It highlights every emotion each character is going through and for me, the almost 2hr long episode is worthwhile.
I'm loving how the introvert Charn becomes the opposite when he is alone with Jet. Same thing Jet being extrovert. They practically switch roles when they have their alone time. Nerd becoming aggressive, and socializer flusters easily.
By now it is evident that Namping's portrayal of a reserved, meek is intentional as that what is required for the character. Same thing with Keng. His responsibility makes him not only think twice, but thrice and that is the reason for the hesitation. And look what happened when he gave in.
A lot happened in episode 8 and good thing they didn't cut corners. We saw the progress(?) of Charn-Jet, but it is more of 1 step forward 2 steps backward. Big leap for Peem-Khem. The 3 now knows they were connected in their past. A hint of Ramphueng's history. Very rare for a BL to take an approach of a Lakorn which normally is an hour per episode. I for one, just watched 1 that consistently aired episode 1 hr, Miracle of Teddy Bear.
Going back after the first episode of this series, and the rating was a mere 7.8 because the hype for Revenged Love is still there. But after the release of episode 2, rating became 8.1 and moved steadily up to what it is today.
For any series that reached great heights, it is near impossible to end with fans being satisfied. May it be a good season and the fact that is ending, naturally people have this construct in their mind on how the series should end.
This could go on forever, the games, and eventually people will be tired of the same plot.
Survival games stories are not new, especially in the West. As all, it will question one's ethics and morals. But eventually, the human instinct to survive, to live will ultimately prevail.
Overall, considering seasons 1 to 3, the shock value is intense. Each character played their respective roles consistently. It depicts struggle, hope. Ultimately, the things we do to reach our goals, and dreams.
Love the artistry of that performance. Reminds of the Indian tradition of dancing with color smoke. Though here is a lot toned down, the dance and more of an interpretative one.
Jet is right and my observation as well after Charn got wet and take his shirt off in the river, he is better looking without the glasses. Just when I'm about to ask for Charn-Jet skinship... lol And I got more! Didn't see that coming, pun intended. ahahahahhaah

Cute and funny... People are still being critical on how things are not logical, and they are watching something supernatural in nature. This critics never gets old. They forgetting that this fictional and not documentary. Of course, not all will be logical and true to life.

That "quicksand" FX is not short of amazingness. I really like how rustic the main setting is. Wooden structure, space between the wooden planks flooring. Only missing is the mosquito nets, bt it understandable, contracting a mosquito-borne disease is not the story but the folklore. Besides, Peem cannot phase through one to get to Khem.

Trivia, the blue circle on Sea's sweatshirt, it is a nazar, an eye-shaped amulet from the Middle East and Mediterranean that serves as a protective charm against the "evil eye" – a curse believed to be inflicted by a malevolent glare, often motivated by envy.
One must remember that Peem holds a very important figure in the village which needs to seen as serious, disciplined, and very dependable. That is also the reason why he cannot be seen publicly cozying up to just one person as it will be perceived as having a favorite.
When the Jet-Charn dating will start? Can't wait for it!
I think there is a need to put this out since nobody seems to talk about this more.
The opening credits. It is very rare for a BL series, regardless of the country of origin, to produce, create, curated opening credits that does not use snipets from the series and make it to a montage. The very first BL that I watch with this approach is Dark Blue Kiss matching with the iconic background music.
Also, the FX. It is slowly improving and the editing is not that bad either which is much needed to crate certain illusions.
Episode 3 shows another layer of "problem" that may or may not be related to the curse. But it clearly shows that it does not spare anybody.
You sneaky Jet! But we get to see Chan used-to-be-hidden torso.
Also, the FX is not that bad and not that good either especially if you are comparing it Western's standards. But Khemjira has decent shots. The snake. It matches the light of the background that blends well.

I feel you. There was a time when MDL does not allow reviews until a series is finished airing. This kind of "Review" ruins a show as is doesn't paints the whole picture. That is why I stopped writing reviews.

You know that you will get a treat if the opening credits is not a montage of clips from the series but rather they took time to make one. Reminds me of Dark Blue Kiss, epic and classic.
Right off the bat you can see the aura/vibe of Boun, Prem, and Mark changed. Testament of their acting skill progressing well as this time is a total departure from the previous characters.
Serious at the beginning, then some comic relief, My Golden Blood reference, then back to being a light dark tone. The sudden comedic scene may be off putting, but it will grow on you.
Introduction of Barcode is not a total departure from his character in DFF, dark and mysterious, which by the way suits him well!
That preview for the next episode makes one think, is this a fight for survival plot? Ciar and the Hunters. Can't wait for the twins for me to see in one series again.

My only worry is Hayato's iconic role in Alice, but AFAIK, Japanese fans are not toxic comparing to other countries.
