Exactly! You can only push someone away so many times before there is no turning back. Considering how ill she became & like YS told LBY she would still say in her dreams not to leave her. LBY shattered her heart into pieces. I'm excited to watch him come work towards earning her trust and forgiveness.

It's not her letting go of him but the other way around. Throughout the drama & novel LBY has been pushing CSS to accept, love, & depend on him. When she does he leaves her behind. You can understand both prospective . CSS will be willing to live & die with him but LBY does not want to implicate CSS and her family. He ends up pushing her away. It's completely opposite of what he has been pushing which is why she is so hurt from the betrayal & abadonment. LBY pushed himself off the horse by the cliff even though he told her in todays episode they will never be apart that he not leave her. CSS and the third prince are the ones who help prove LBY's identity but LBY again in front of the Emperor & Empress says he is willing to let her go. He didn't realize how much his actions & words hurt her. We understand he wants to protect her but it was more damaging for her.
Can anyone who reads the novel already tell me what happen to her family and father?
In the novel it was QiQi's father not CSS's dad. In the drama they changed it so we still need to see what other adjustments they made but it ties into Lou Ben and how the final villian is formed by the turn of events.

Actually that's something that CSS will say to YS later in the novel. She tells him LBY in a way is more innocent/naive than them. He loves & hate passionately with all of his heart.
Part 2 has been most of their romance. Part 1 was the slow burn.
Part 1 is your introduction to the characters so you need to start there to appreciate and understand the events of part 2. In the beginning they are getting to know each other. Part 2 they are engaged so more PDA and sweetness. The drama has done a beautiful job adapting the novel but it just depends on your preferences. Lots of topics and family dynamics.
After the sadness will be the road to happiness. 🤗🙂
