It's a good drama. Impressed by Jin Goo's perfromance, portraying two opposite characters. Would have loved to see him more as the real king, but in any case it's a drama worth watching. Every actor did a great job. Also, one thing definitely worth to mention is the OST. Extremely beautiful. Especially the instrumental pieces. Wow. <3
Wow, it's a warzone here. & ppl be mean & disrespectful here. Personally for me this drama is okay (so far because it's not finished yet), but there are better ones. Would be nice if everyone could just accept that we have different opinions & live with that without bullying others, that's really immature. Merry xmas & happy new year yall, I'll check this page again when the drama is really over. ✌️
Many good actors. The instrumentals slay as usual in kdramas + I did cry when the monster tried to protect Chae ok, it made me emotional. But all in all very predictable plot, nothing new. Romance was not needed here imo, but ofc I'll still watch the remaining eps in january.
Woohak is not kiho, his personality just doesn't match. Bogeol is kiho. I still ship mokha & woohak, though she's…
Agree. Also in the writers previous drama the fl did not end up with her childhood friend/crush, so I feel like in this drama she will. But the sls in start up was huge. I was also a part of that. :/ It hurt so damn much, so I took a risk while starting to watch this but the story overall is good, just like start up. :)
So...It's over. And now I know I'll be missing it for awhile on my monday & tuesday evenings. I wish this drama got more recognition, the story is good and interesting. But, I think that the sml should've been out of the picture sooner. I mean, I felt like Gwonsuk's storyline with Jaemin was too long considering that this drama only had 12 episodes, if the drama was longer then maybe it wouldn't have bothered me that much.
But all in all I enjoyed the story and I kind of expected that Gwonsuk would retire in the end. She never liked boxing anyway, I feel like it was true to her character that she could end her career at the end, without any regrets. Kim So Hye was great at this role, though I didn't know her from before. Gwonsuk was innocent at heart even though she had an aggressive profession & I think Kim So Hye portrayed that very well. Lee Sang Yeob was amazing as well. His expressions & eyes showed all his feelings towards Gwonsuk even though he didn't have that much sweet words towards her. Taeyeong's kind of the bad guy, but then also not. In the end, he did everything he could to protect Gwonsuk. I didn't mind the age gap, they had a great chemistry. Also their love grew from their friendship, trust and care for each other. When two people have what they had, the age really has no meaning. Also, Gwonsuk met Taeyeong while she was running away from her past, terrified & he pushed her to face her fears. So it's a given that he had a huge impact on her. She thought in the beginning that he destroyed her world and in the end she realized that he changed it.
I pretty much liked all of the characters, except the real bad guys, even though Park Ji Hwan was really good as a villain, I admit.
Especially liked the story with Gwonsuk & Ahreum. It's good to see female power & females uniting. I'm so done with the mean girl behaviour really, so I'm happy I didn't have to see that in this drama, instead they were supportive of each other & they could make up for the past.
The ost was good also. So yep, I'd definitely recommend this drama. I think it may be one of the best this year could offer, for me at least. :)
Don't bother with this if you don't like incomplete shows. I rated it a 6 due to netflix shortening this to 9…
It's completely sh*tty that originally 20 episode drama is reduced to 9 episodes. I'm so disappointed honestly. I highly doubt there will be a 2nd season.
It took me many years to watch this drama, I always knew I would watch it some day, but I think it's better I watched this now than when it aired because I could understand and embrace the storyline now better. This drama is definitely not a light one but it's not depressing either, I feel like it's a hopeful story. Actors did a great job, especially IU who portrayed the troubled, angry yet deep down very sad young woman's character very well. Lee Ji An's character is not a character you like from the start, but as you see her story more it makes you understand why she is the way she is. Lee Sun Kyun was amazing as well, his character was so kind and caring, he was really a good person even though he belittled himself. As the story goes on, you become attached to all of the characters in a certain way I'd say. Jung Jeong Hee became one of my personal favorites. The beautiful pub owner who waited 20 years for a long lost love. I really liked the relationship between the leads and the family/neighborhood/company too. I think this drama perfectly shows that there's different kinds of love that exist in different relationships, romantic love is definitely not all there is. Lee Ji An & Park Dong Hoon's relationship wasn't really romantic but I saw so much love between them, they were much alike even though their lives very different & cared for each other a lot even though they didn't express it much with words. This drama was a good one, it's different, but good. I found myself in tears many times while watching. The OST was very nice as well.
This drama is a masterpiece. I still rewatch it and the feeling is the same like the first time soon 8 years ago. Can't believe how time flies, yet this drama still slays, aigoo, such a wholesome story, miss all the characters❤️
