It seems that these casting news of KSH as ML has given some ppl delusions that they can harass actors online and spread hate. It's just a drama. If you don't like the casting then don't watch. Sasaeng's.
Since I started watching this series I was curious who of the two male main leads does the majority prefer? I…
Back then when the drama aired i'd say it was 50/50. I have always been team Ta Hwan, but now that I've watched the drama again after years, I definitely do understand why some prefer Wang Yu. These are two very different kind of men. However, Nyang loved both of them.
is this good? I've been procrastinating this kdrama for so long
It's the best. If you like nostalgia, old music, family relationship, friendship (heavy in this one), comedy & slow burn romance, however the romance is not the main theme in this drama. At first the beginning & first episodes may feel slow (many have said so, me I don't even remember my first feelings about this drama because I watched it when it aired for the first time x)) but then soon you find yourself attached to the characters and their lives. It's a very nostalgic, realistic & also bittersweet story. There's a lot of beautiful quatations and words about life that touch your heart deeply as you can relate to those. At least for me it was.
The episodes are long, about 1,5 hours so you may want to take it slow with this one, but yes I definitely recommend you to watch it if there's any interest. :)
where is that that they removed scenes ? well i only noticed a difference in bgm on viki and watchasian ( dramacool…
Late answer but I think in most of the streaming sites have the blur/music removal because of copyrights. It's a shame. Scenes I remember that have been cut are from the school trip episode, when they sing in the bus & then when Bora is tutoring the kids, when they sing. And the music audition with Dong Ryeong & Ahjumonis. I haven't watched on Viki, but I haven't found the unblurred episodes with the original bgm anywhere anymore. You can check the Reply 1988 old songs playlist on youtube, there are all the songs that were originally included in the episodes, before they were removed. If you know a site where I can see it with its original bgm and unblurred, please let me know. :)
I've planned to watch this since it was airing, but because of the first love theme, I just couldn't start it anyhow, it seemed too bubbly for me since I've watched so many dramas with that theme. But as I got rid of my expectations I was surprised and that first love theme didn't bother me at all. It was actually very touching and really beautifully portrayed, Yeongro & Sooho together were endearing to watch. Jung Haein & Kim Jisoo's chemistry+acting was so so good. They both portrayed the emotions of the two characters so well. Yeongro's pure heart & Sooho's unyielding attempt to keep her safe. *cry.
Also it was nice to see Yoo Inna in a different kind of role than her usual.
All in all a good drama imo and worth the watch. Even though personally I wasn't really interested in the rivalry between the three ahjumoni's and Nam Tae Il's constant yelling.
Eunwoo's acting has improved a lot. I am proud of you, boy. I saw Kim Nam Joo in a drama for the first time (why…
Agree. Kim Nam Joo was amazing in this drama. I'm not familiar with her previous works, but after this, I just gotta admire her. All in all, the whole cast was great.
Did I miss something regarding Kang Soo Ho. I know Eun Soo Hyun's mom, at near end, she held his face in her hands,…
Her calling him her son-in-law is because she lost her memory (at least parts of it), like they showed in the recent episodes, she forgot what had happened to gunwoo etc.. At the end it's 6 years later, I take it as it they are all livin their own lives as Soo Hyun says so they are not together, but Suho still takes care of Soo Hyun's mother because his mother told him to, no matter what happens with his marriage.
"The person who didn't shut the gate was me, I felt so guilty." Hits the feels, right in the last episode. I love that they included this conclusion in the finale. Like she knew all along, but only now was able to admit it fully. Wonderful drama overall. Cried almost in every episode, still totally worth it, there's always light at the end of the tunnel. All the actors were great in their roles. +Cha Eun Woo can definitely act, anyone doubting that can watch this drama. Now I'm just waiting for the instrumental OST release. <3
