Another 5 episodes left, at this point I don't know what to expect of the drama anymore.

I just love the fact that they both knew each other's feelings clearly without saying it. I am usually not a big fan of slow burn, but theirs made me excited. I really I like their dynamic together.

I am saying this again, one episode a day is just so unfair to the audience when the story is only now starting to pick up the pace. THIS IS NOT RIGHT !!!!

Your theory does make sense that the current emperor is not the crown prince, but where is this crown prince now? The story has too many gaps to fill.

How much power does the mastermind hold in the court, that even the emperor can't do anything to him?

The past and massacre is too messed to understand right now, it is better to wait and let the story unfold.

Then why would the emperor react so surprised when Peiyi was poisoned and asked of there's something more to the story of the massacre? The emperor is so sus, I can't keep up with him and his antics.

It's just so easy to decide for a woman's life so casually, the emperor didn't even think if Peiyi wanted the marriage or not. Atleast Huai jin explained that he didn't want to do it that way but he had to do it to save her, even if it wasn't the best choice.

Even though I’m completely supportive of their romance, asking for marriage just to save her from punishment doesn’t feel right to me. How do her mistakes (as defined by the emperor) simply disappear just because she receives a marriage decree? And I am still not sure if the emperor is actually the good guy and didn't know anything about the massacre. Also consort Shu is definitely suspicious and is extremely good at keeping up the façade of a loving consort.

Now that the drama is finally gaining momentum, one episode a day feels like torture to me. They should have release last 6 episodes in express. That would have been nice.
