I've already seen Xi Guang in college and her interactions between Zhuang Xu, Ye Rong, etc. But I'm still genuinely confused on what in the world actually happened. Particularly with Zhuang Xu. His thought process is frying my brain. Can someone who fully understands what happened between them in the first couple/few eps help me because its fr gonna bother me that I never fully understood that part of the plot

No problem ! I agree there might be a mix of pairs that the company might have maybe even had them send more time together or such so they would pair in the show? I agree ab Tle and FirstOne. They were pretty sudden to have chemistry on friendship, but now on or off of shows their chemistry always shines so bright. It seems like they really picked each other. I do kind of feel like Thomas just knew what he wanted, because he is still the same with Kong as he was on Friendship, like I don't think he would ever want to be paired with someone else tbh 😭

Ofc there's always the question of if things are scripted, but usually pairs (like the ones you mentioned) get a smaller side role in shows with a pair from the season before as the main couple is what I noticed. Also, I think DMD almost maybe films the show, and then if a pair is formed, they are added in.
For example, and I'm not 100%, but PTTP are the main couple in this show, and were paired a year ago. North is also in this show, and if you look deeper in the cast, so is Otto, who I believe in the novel his character has something going on with Jamie. These two were "just" paired, but if you look at Wave's Instagram post from this time last year (his instagram is waavetnp), it seemed like they were working on this show, but Jamie's character is not played by North? So it seems like when new pairs are formed, they are added into an existing pair's series, if that makes any sense lmao. This seems to happen almost every year.
Am I completely sure how they do this? NO lol, but it's my personal perspective on it. I don't think the show is scripted but almost prerecorded and then aired in winter. I could be completely wrong, but I really enjoy DMD Friendship and the pairs regardless !

If you just search up "DMD Friendship" on youtube, all three seasons will come up! All four main actors for Khemjira and TeeTee were in S1 'DMD Friendship The Reality', Por comes in S2 'DMD Friendship the Reality | It Takes Two', and S3 just recently finished airing, 'DMD Friendship the Reality, the THIRD Chapter'. They're fun to watch and have challanges and such, and they all have a playlist for each season, about an hour per ep? It's a fun show and good quality, and really gives you that look into how the chemistry for the pairs are formed!

A lot of their pairs come from a show you can watch on youtube called 'Friendship: The Reality' and they choose their own partners based on who they feel they have the most chemistry with instead of the company pairing them up. It's a fun show, and Por and TeeTee were paired from it! I highly reccommed checking that out if you haven't. Since I watched every season, I've been waiting for so long for this show, since these two are one of my favorite pairs! I really feel like DMD highly prioritizes and excels on chemistry between their artists, and you can feel it in their shows. I'm glad you've discovered more DMD!! They have some other shows coming out this year as well!
