Fake Tae Young is trying to set up fake Seung Cheon to have a better job and everything else so that when they…
If I remember correctly, they cannot switch back anymore. The last option for them to switch back is after 10 years and didn't the 10 years have passed already when seungcheon was in the States? Or am I remembering it wrong?

Apparently about a married couple with secrets. Husband's a spy, wife has her secrets that she can't reveal, something…
this plot made me think of the anime spyxfamily wherein the husband is a secret spy, the wife a secret assassin, the daughter a secret telepath, and their dog with clairvoyance hahaha

anyway, so excited for jang-jang chemistry on screen>>>

I just don't get the uncle's motivation. He is just mean for no clear reason.
He is envious and wants to covet taeyong's wealth.

Title The Golden Spoon Spoiler
I feel really sorry for seungcheon. When he switched to become taeyong, he has to resolve his real family and taeyong's problem. Then, when he switched back, he has to resolve his family's problem again. Now that he switched back to being taeyong, he has to resolve taeyong's problem again.

It's like the writer only switches seungcheon when there is a big problem and he has to resolve them. I feel sorry for real taeyong, too, but he just doesn't have the same maturity and guts as real seungcheon. When seungcheon's dad got into the construction accident, I couldn't trust taeyong to resolve it. Thus, it was a good thing that real seungcheon switched back. Taeyong knows nothing about being poor, he couldn't have handled part-time working while helping his family and himself to survive.

Dropping this mess of a drama. His family was doing fine without him. ML should just stay out of anyone's life.
Goodness, how is that his fault? The evil, abusive people won't leave them alone. And if he didn't switch back, do you really think that the fake seungcheon (taeyong) could have the same guts as real seungcheon? It's a good thing that he switched back because taeyong(fake seungcheon) knows nothing about being poor, thus, he can't resolve anything maturely just how the real seungcheon is doing for his family.

She likes seungcheon, but as hwang taeyong
I think the only reason she likes seungcheon more is because she can't really manipulate the real taeyong since he straightforwardly shows how much he hates her. While seungcheon still shows some respect to her, thus, she thinks she might have a better chance at him. She thinks she can manipulate him into switching with taeyong so she can marry rich.

Title Little Women
Yes, yes, yes! These three sisters are so badly written it’s hard to feel anything for them. Does In Ju have…
Actually, Go Eun said in an interview that she was also annoyed with her character for her dumb actions. But the writer explained that she intentionally wrote them with so much flaws in order to witness their growth and character development. If you look at the writer's filmography, she has only ever written female characters and female protagonists. She explained that she really doesn't like the usual overly perfect woman protagonist, as if women can only be likeable if they are completely perfect. I agree with her. The women in this story are flawed, but they are also smart and strong in their own ways. They were not written in the usual smart and strong women characters that we've seen and liked from most shows, but they represent different, actual real women. I also don't like their decisions most of the time. I am annoyed with them, but they have taught me how to have more empathy. In spite of my annoyance, I was able to understand them still. After all, the real villains, even in the real world, are those who are cunning enough to take advantage of those who are of lesser privileged than them.

Injoo is the heart of the family. Naive, but always willing to give her all for the security of her family. In hye is the brain. Mostly logical and reasonable; always thinking of what's the most beneficial for them, but sometimes forgetting to display more empathy. In Kyung is the soul. She never compromise her principles and she always know what is right. But she can also be very much impulsive and irrational.

These women may not be the girlboss type of way, but they are still smart and strong in their own ways. Their flaws are real. And even though these flaws are often times used as plot device to progress the plot, they holds so much truth, empathy, and reality.

The real villains here are the corrupt rich people, like taeyong's father, who keep exploiting the poor and those who have no empathy, like yeojin, who thinks that the whole world needs to pay for the pain that they've gone through.

I do understand yeojin and I condemn the abuse of her father, but her father is the only one to blame and be punished for causing her hardships; she needs not to play with other people's struggles.

The real taeyong may be lacking manners, but in spite of his corrupt background, he knows still how to have empathy.

I don't agree with all of Seungcheon's decisions and beliefs but, as someone who came from a poor background, myself, I still understand why he has them. At least, he is still reasonable and not just being completely overcome by his greed to take revenge unto the whole world. He just wants a better life for himself and his family.

The real taeyong grew up without loving parents and the real seungcheon grew up without money; these environments are what developed their psyche into what they think is important and lacking in their lives.

Thus, I don't think that the other one is much better nor worse. They are just both victims of circumstances.

Jung Chae Yeon gives me vibes of Moon Ga Young!!
I agree. Each time I see her on the screen, MGY would suddenly pop up inside my mind. They are very distinct, yet, so similar at the same time.

Yes, this was just my take for the first episode. I will try to continue watching the next episodes hoping that there will be interesting character arcs.

I think the grandparents were too emotionally manipulative. I understand the sentiment of grandpa regarding his wife's dream, but suddenly putting his grandson in a situation he's not ready or don't even have a knowledge about seems like a parent still outrightly controlling the life of their child without respecting their adult ability to make an adult decision for their own life.

Also, please stop making pranks about death or critical health. It is very toxic and can cause anxiety or health problems also to the one being pranked.

I don't completely hate Joy's character but I find it a little annoying. I just don't like these certain type of people who only cares about harmony and people-pleasing, but without any care about ethical truths and moral principles. She always rationalize the wrong deeds of her neighbours which victimizes them, thus, making the damage done to the actual victim less important. Also, the ml was right about the dog and she was wrong. And I hate how they mock him about "coming from seoul" just because he expressed about how they were disrespecting his own space. People really always mock and make fun of what they don't understand.

I really like the healing and calming vibes of countryside settings, but I hope that writers should start to realize that a whole village can still be harmonious, cooperative, and interconnected without having to disrespect the boundaries of one another. Consent and respect is a must.

The ML was actually the victim in all these, yet, I hate how some are painting him as the frustrating one.

I disagree. Duk Im lived almost all her life living by other people's decisions and choices for her. She thought…
"Most people didn't get to decide. She felt very privileged to complain when she wasn't born a royal."

What kind of logic is that? It's like saying poor people being abused by those in power (rich/politics) have no right to complain because they weren't born to be as powerful as them. It's irresponsible and unreasonable.

Being liked/favoured by the king is not a complete privilege, unless you're just the kind of person who judge people based on their social status. At a very young age, we could see how Duk Im values her freedom the most. Of course, accepting her feelings and the King's would mean going against what she values the most, her utmost objective: her freedom. Thus, it's only reasonable that she would be at war with her own feelings, her mind, and principles. Duk Im has her OWN MIND. Her character is not just someone who is a slave to her feelings and to everyone. She wanted freedom from all of that.

Duk Im was not the unfair one. The unfair one is the political rule back then that a king should have many wives while the wife (queen/concubines) should only be subjected to her husband, the king.

I respect and understand Duk Im's decision. It's a reasonable one. She wanted freedom all her life, but even her own feelings imprisoned her. Thus, her decision not to tell him was her only freedom, her own independent choice she can ever do. Besides, the king has also hurt her a lot because he also loved his politics as much as her. Indeed, the king was just as selfish. Just because he is the king, doesn't mean that he's the only one allowed to make a decision and be selfish.

P.S. They also based this on a true historical account.
