I hated the ending so much. I don't mind if chia chi died just like the original/true story, but I hated how they turned it into tropes: strong woman becomes vulnerable for a man or women will do anything for stupid diamonds. This truly tainted the heroism and martyrdom of the true to life chia chi in which she never gave up her love for her country, but the film made her give up her friends and country just for a 60-karat diamond.

In addition, I also like my sex kinky and adventurous, but the sex scenes here are all outright stupid and abusive. I really do like Tang Wei and Tony Leung and their performances are great, but the story, especially the ending, are so unreasonable for me.

So, ahjussi only made films and not a single series in his filmography? Also, his only recorded variety show guesting is very recent (June 2022), with IU's pallette and it's not even a tv guesting.

I have more or less 70 actors on my favourites list, but if I can only choose only one of them, I'll always choose Song Kang Ho-ssi. His acting skills and screen charisma are just outstanding that no matter the genre or quality of the film is, he will always make it a little more interesting.
