Happy I watched it
Okay yes it has flaws and the DID resolution is a medical fantasy.. But who cares? The acting is amazing, the story original and it has stuck in my heart and head for some time. Do yourself a favor. Just watch it and make your own judgement.Both of the leads give subtle performances in what could have been a bad gay version of the Three Faces of Eve. Not the typical Thai BL factory produced fare. There is real heart here. I would love to see this series continue, if only to explain the second couple who have 2 minutes of screen time. And watch the lead couples journey going forward.

Underwater Bilge
Sorry folks. I really tried but after 4 episodes of meh, feh mermaid tripe I had to shut it down. Lovely cinematography. Attractive actors who couldn't get arrested for acting if they tried and no chemistry to speak of. Not a lot new to watch this month online so was hopeful but even I have my limit. Maybe it gets better but I don't have the stomach for this underwritten, formulaic offering.Was this review helpful to you?
The best
This is without doubt one of the best BL Thrillers. Amazing on every level. If you are looking for skin go to GMMTV shit.This aint it. So fine, so important in what it is trying to examine and these actors deliver! I am still reeling from it.. Do yourself a favor and watch. Yes there are other BL's that start to examine the thriller terrain but they really go there in this one.. Tul and Max come to mind but this is head and shoulders above unless you are just looking for skin.

DONT MISS THIS INCREDIBLE JOURNEY
I know a lot of folks have reviewed this already and I am late to the game but just finished watching this series for the third time and it only gets better with each viewing. Don't normally do that (especially asit is long) but it haunts me. It is a masterpiece on so many levels. Done on a fairly small budget (for a 50 episode series) with unknowns. It is stunning to watch. The actors so on point and the screenwriter and director were masterful in evading Chinese censorship! A BL it came from and they convey it through delicate but clear nuance. This is a great love story and tale. Others have said it better. Just watch and let it unfold in all its humanity, storytelling prowess and emotional power. Every actor is perfect. And if the tale of Wen Ning as played by Yu Bin doesnt break your heart then you might want to see a cardioligist!Was this review helpful to you?
what a boring waste of time
was excited by the other reviews. So I watched. Instead I found bad lakorn writing, directing, stand and deliver stuff with stiff postures with pretty boys but stupid acting. So over the top boring. Subtle like a box of rocks. I mean really. The woman playing Pin was the only good actor in it. Really why do folks like this kind of stuff where there are so many good BL series out there?Was this review helpful to you?
didn't expect it to be so good
So this is a lovely series. In some ways reminds me of Last Twilight, both are great, but this is the gentle, less ambitious one. The actor playing the deaf caregiver is not only stunning but he gives a great performance. And the secretary/assistant....can we talk....major hottie with or without glasses. Sorry, got a little excited there. But this is a great watch and worth your times. And the depiction of a deaf person ( kind of like in Moonlight Chicken) is filled with dignity and hurt and power and a reality that we don'ft often see. WATCH IT, this is unique and worth it!
people all over the map about this one. Yes, its 13 hours long. At times a bit slow but oh my god. The story is preeminent here. So good. The actors are perfect, the pace for me was sublime, and it is an incredible tale about evil, horror, love, redemption and being human. Loved it so much. You wont forget it. Rather like a long feast of food that you didn't know you needed that leaves you so full.And happy. After so much of the current BL offerings this is a revelation. Reminds me a bit of The Sign but so much better. Enjoy.

seond time around it is even more magnificent
Yes, I just spent the time to watch all 49 episodes again and glad I did. It's sweep, cineamatography, costuming, acting, direction, music and script held me captivated years later. I feel bereft that it is over. I love the two men and all the cast around them. Will be hard to go back to regular BL fare. This isn't the standard fare, but it's so much richer and better than GMMTV fodder. They stick in your heart and soul after it is done. Please watch. It's that good.Was this review helpful to you?
This raises the bar once again for all bl!
A growing chorus of praise; so I am just adding my voice. Every time Mile/Apo take on a project it is a cause for celebration. They and the team they work with are amazing. The production values are off the charts, their chemistry (and that of all the actors in this series) are a lesson in acting. Sumptuous on every level and some of the most erotic sex scenes that titillate but don't pander. Such a difficult balance to find. I love how Mile and Apo went against fan typing and expanded their range. As to the story? Being an American I was so ignorant about that time in Thai history. In some ways I was reminded of THE YEAR OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY. Read the other reviews, they say it better and in more detail. I am just floating on a cloud right now.Was this review helpful to you?
What's Not to Love?
This series is adorable, sweet, simple, touching and have rewatched it more times than I care to admit. The casting is spot on. So is the gentle touch of the director. A fable of sorts. When you need to get out of the headlines of the world as it is right now or just your head in a loving space....watch this.The actors portraying Choco and Milk fully take on elements of the animals they are portraying without commenting or being cringy. Give it a try if tired of the same old GMMTV formulaic stuff. No hot sex, no betrayals, no toxicity. Short and to the point. No useless filler or extending a story into 12-14 episodes just to make money. But the moments of intimacy convey more emotion with delicacy than most of the others combined. Check it out! Hope they make a sequel but South Korea rarely does. Dang!

wanted to like this so much
The cast is talented and attractive. But the script just sucks donkey dicks! I mean so bland and meandering. interesting ideas that went no where! A funeral home, a brother dying of stage four liver cancer, a thug cempetitor....list goes on and all we got was white wash and banality. I mean even Wish You had more dynamics then this and that is considred the vanilla standard!The actors try to hard to give value....Not sure if director had a clue althought they made it look good. such wasted potential. I watched til the end hoping....sigh.

OMG its so sweet
Never thought I would like something like this but I did! Cringy? You bet. But so sweet, charming and they go for it. Lots of plot holes but if you surrender it's a lovely ride. The two leads are great and make it all work. With the way the world is going right now I needed this. Just relax and enjoy the heartfelt silliness, sweetness and a lovely fantasy.Was this review helpful to you?

I wrote a review before finishing and now need to change my voting and thoughts. I still have a problem with the lead character's mercenary and and opportunitisic bent as written. But the cast is good and eventually I fell for the couple and although no writing that really makes it okay or even sensible, the story is a nice journey.Production values are top notch and its a nice ride. advice please as I try to watch this show
I am trying to watch this series but doesn't really make sense. Does it get better?" I mean Win lives 27 years of pain and guilt and not a very good life missing Nut. He goes back in time and despite all his history and knowledge knowing Nut will die is just being a cowardly, weenie, rabbitt who can't string together a declarative sentence let alone confront Nut's health lies. Is there a point to all this? Just confused by the high ratings. Seems fluffy and stupid and not well written at this point.Was this review helpful to you?
