Also she has always been suffering, I don’t think if she was the brooding type should have survived her hellish training and military campaigns. So keeping a happy demeanour probably helped her cope. She has been through mountains of corpses, so family betrayal although painful isnt as bad as losing her mentor and her soldiers.

I like her characterisation as well. A direct and physically strong female character seems to rub them the wrong way

Xiao Bie Ming told Zhong Xue Man that knowing about this case too much can lead to the Zhuge family’s death (via the Emperor) but what about Xiao Bie Ming’s team? 😭😭😭 Once they figure out the truth who says the Emperor or whoever will not silence them to keep the results a secret. It should be obvious to leverage the organisational efficiency of the Secret Investigations Unit to figure out what Yesha is and as an insurance to prevent a further cover up.

Do the people at the Secret Investigation Unit not do any work? By now it should be clear that the case involves multiple individuals and not just Xiao Bieming, like have they not considered that once the catch him and more cases continue its going to make them look even worse?

Sadly he has a month to live now and Old Bug is the only one who can save him. But it is suspicious that Young White Dragon’s master died from a simple poison if they poisoned each other on the regular and he was a master detoxifier. He might have been targeted by someone else or faked his death. Since no autopsy was conducted I am leaning to a fake death
