ep 1 doesn't waste much time beating around establishing the main lead . the director uses the work party to showcase the strengths of our lead and immediately leading to the costume part of the drama. Since i haven't read the novel myself , i do not know how the novel handles the transition but using the excuse of him drinking a lot to make drop his guard against it and using his pov for us was nice . But i hoped they would stay with lead an first day whole when finds himself in the new world , all the confusion and anxiety but it brushed of pretty quickly . Other than this pace and establishing the characters and us learning the all power at play in this new world with main lead is handled quite impressively. Usage of comedy and light undertones in the drama helps with the viewer being engaged through out the episode

Very nice intro ep 1. No bullshit,character and their work environment dynamics shown. Main cast connections with each other shown enough for the general idea,Nice setup of intertwining the main cast from the start to end of the episode.Good First case plot setup as well.

Very clinical in executing the character dynamics and goals .Mind games although very little nice touch ,LYN in the ending scene was chefs kiss.

Opening was very precise and explained the plot setting cleanly. Character introductions were precise and straight to point.
