U don't make any sense at all. Wildrift has been out for a long while in SEA. There wasn't even that many gameplay scenes and mostly the actors playing games. It's ok if u don't plan to watch the drama. No drama is for everybody
And blame your low skill level for your ml trauma. It's a high skill cap game. That's why there's a pro scene for ml but not for candy crush. U should have practiced more like our female lead JingJing if u wanted to enjoy the game.

If you are planning to read the novel, i would recommend you start from the beginning. The novel isn't that long. But ep14 wise i would say around chapter 27-28 would be right. Peanuts and hoju really did a great job on the translation.
