I love music and that kept me going forward with the series (I simply can't resist the classics and learning some bits about them). I don't take your comments as rambles. I actually appreciate them because you're giving me your perspective on the drama and I respect that. It makes me reflect on what I've thought differently. And yes, overall, I liked this. Although I would have liked it more if they made Chiaki less of an a**hole for making it hard on her.

I probably would have appreciated it better if it hadn't drag the whole "Chiaki,I will wait for you" sentiment so much 'til the end. It was so hard for her to grow and I kept thinking when they were going to show how she did that alongside his. That explains how I feel while watching the whole story--drama, specials and movies. It's as if the director didn't know how to balance the scenes out and had to show Chiaki in competitions while Nodame--what was Nodame doing? If it was deliberate then I'm frustrated about her situation all the more.

Perhaps I should look at the ending as a while she's still at the middle of the process of change--a very slow one, because she's so complex. But that doesn't mean I have to like it.

Such a great article! I enjoyed reading it! I've seen 3 dramas on the list so far, and both weak and strong points that you've pointed out are evident in all of them.

Both HGD and MGIAG are on my PTW list and am beginning to think if I'll be able to enjoy them with the mixed reviews...
