I had the same post written over at L&R, and there were tons of succeeding posts after me pointing out this issue. All of them have been deleted.

"So many?" "Spamming?" I kindly ask you not wrongfully accuse me. I only posted on this drama and The Untamed - last I checked 2 posts is not defined as the above. I respect your support and defense of MDL. On the other hand, it makes my gut twist that there are only certain dramas that have exhibited such a drastic decline in ratings. I am simply speaking from the point of view of others who share this uncertainty. In the end, I'm sure we can agree on one thing - that ratings are not everything and, regardless of a number on a site, beloved dramas will remain beloved dramas.

Title The Untamed
After witnessing the events spiraling around the questionable modifications of the rating system, it appears to me that My Drama List has become a biased, untrustworthy forum seeking to discredit reputable dramas and promote their own agenda. Never thought such a popular site in which thousands of people come in hopes of indulging in their honest love of Asian entertainment, and share in heartfelt discussion, would take advantage of its users in such a demeaning way. Shame on you, MDL.

Title Go Ahead
Where do I watch ep 41-46?
If you're watching via online streaming sites, like YouTube, there's only 40 episodes, it's complete. It's the same as the 46 ep version that was broadcast on TV in Mainland China - that one is longer because they had more advertisements.

Title Go Ahead
Please read my full review for more details, but I just have to say in the comments that this was an absolutely outstanding drama with an even more marvelous cast and team. I shed tears a countless number of times while watching - this drama has a way of making you put yourself into each characters shoes and experience the tragedies as though they are happening to you.

I look back at the times when I was younger, angry with my parents for telling me to do this or that, when I didn't show them the respect they deserved, and wish I could take it all back. The script and messages are so meaningful, and so applicable to real life. While I do agree and question whether or not the romantic element that occurred in the middle of the drama was really necessary, it was critical to the development of the characters involved. Any caveats or plot discrepancies should be taken with a grain of salt, because through it all the message voiced is what counts.

At the beginning/middle of the drama you are angry with almost every parent (besides Li Hai Chao/Ling He Ping) - and by the end you realize all of them just want well for their children. Although parents don't always execute their love in a way their children can understand, they just want their children to be happy. Except for Chen Ting. That B-word be CRAY. She got to be cancelled. For real.

Anyway, just please watch this drama. Consider that this drama isn't so wonderful because it's a heartbeat-skipping romance or world-spinning action that would normally make a drama popular, but because of it's way of making you so vulnerable yet strong at the same time. It's real and it's raw.

IU stole the show, leaving the ML so far behind that I forgot he was a part of the main cast.
Main storyline had a strong beginning leading to disappointing failure in the end - plot holes galore with a random conclusion that was completely anticlimactic. I agree with some of the comments below stating the drama probably would have taken a much different (and better) route if they hadn't added the ML. Some of the side stories of the hotel guests were touching. Overall this drama had few things going for it - beautiful OST, beautiful production, beautiful FL (I counted how many times she changed costumes in one episode - 7 times LOL). I would skip if I were you.

Will the ML be with white hairs during the whole drama?... I don't like this hairstyle....((
Yes he will be. White long hair is Dijun's signature appearance, he's probably the only god in the TMOPB world that has white hair (besides any offspring he may have).

Advice to anyone who was like me, falling asleep the first two arcs when Feng Jiu is a maid in Dijun's palace, and when they are in the mortal realm - hang tight because you will be paid back loads more starting Episode 24ish (you could honestly just skip the first 20 episodes maybe? especially if you've read the novel)! Once you get to the part where they "officially meet" in their positions as Feng Jiu and Dijun, and Dijun begins to chase after her, the story is taken to a whole other level. The skinship scenes are better than the original TMOPB, makes me blush and I still rewatch a lot of the later episodes.

I skip all the scenes with Xu Li and Xiao Chuan. I just can't stand her, her stalking is so superficial, awkward, and cringey...a waste of air time. I also skipped the parts where Jiang Jun misunderstands Yuan Shuai without any concrete reason (she just believes what she wants without considering him, it's tiresome) and the drama is much better - makes for a much more fluffier and sensical drama.

Yes, it is that misunderstanding that frustrates me. I'm glad to hear their relationship will change.

ML warning her not go around with Du Lei, but she does anyway, ending up with her getting played like a puppet.

Thanks for your take, and now that you've said that I do see how her actions are an exhibition of strength due to her inability to produce tears. What irks me so far is her inability to see the male leads good intentions when he warns her or scolds her - simply writing them off as him being overbearing (example in spoiler below). Of course, I'm still early in the drama so my opinion has a high probability of changing.

I'm on episode 9 and the female lead character is too proud, too arrogant, thinks she invincible but in the end needs the male lead to pick up after her. She's not smart, just overconfident. I love LYX, and I love his character, which is why I'll continue watching but honestly I don't understand the high reviews so far. Hopefully the female lead changes.

There is literally no plot, no major character development, no depth to the story, and the female lead's acting is super cringe. Actually there was a lot of cringe in general, but I got de-cringeatized after a few episodes, I think. The drama was teetering too close to the edge of the female lead being downright pathetic with the male lead constantly having to save her or stand up for her. I read the manga after watching this and in my opinion it's better.

BUT, did I still enjoy it? Yes. It's a quick watch, and Sakurada Dori as Hiroto makes my heart badump badump ;) All the comments saying it's an abusive relationship and like 50 Shades of Grey, I personally think that's over the top and I didn't really see it? There were a lot of smexy time scenes but he wasn't doing anything to hurt her. He's protective and loving and sweet, is that not what girls want in a guy? Anyway just go into this drama with no expectations and you'll have a decent past time.
