I love this drama and everything about it. From the actors and actresses, to the music, costume design, CGI, and storyline.
Everything was perfect, but unfortunately I’ve lowered my rating after watching the ending. TTJ suffered and sacrificed so much, he was a hero until the end, but they didn’t even show at least a snippet of people acknowledging he was the one who saved all the realms. It is insinuated somewhat but overall the ending left a bitter taste…They filmed so many endings but THIS is the one they chose? The restrictions and scene cutting aren’t excuses.
Very disappointed how a drama had the potential to be so perfect, but a last minute flaw left a stain. LYX’s acting was so amazing and I just feel like the ending didn’t do him justice.
it means ''BITCHang"...got it or not? if not just google the word written in capital letters
That makes a lot more sense. When I Googled “Bitchang” initially it said it’s a tool to open oysters and clams, so I was really confused how that was applicable. 😂😂😂 I can’t believe I didn’t catch the bitch part hahahaha.
Guys, the director released a definitively happy ending!!!
In the post credits scene of the last episode, there’s a like few-second edit that is added in which HR shows XH her hand with her wedding ring on it while smiling happily :)
An amazing drama. I have a few thoughts and questions which keep on going on while I am trying to sleep lol.1.…
1. As with most English names of Chinese dramas, the translation is not accurate. The direct translation of the Chinese title is actually "Summer Flowers." If you recall the scene where HR asks XH why he planted Chrysanthemums instead of Roses, it's because Chrysanthemums begin their bloom during the summer. While other flowers begin to wilt, the Chrysanthemums have their beginning. During that scene, he also says that she will be his last woman, and he will always wait for her to come back no matter where she is. But, I like your interpretation of the Forbidden Flower title :) 2. Offscreen, the painting on the wall of the ML was switched by HR in Ep. 4. When she first sees the painting hanging on his wall in an earlier ep., she is surprised to that a replica of her father's famous painting is in the house of the man she is falling in love with. XH also states that he got it cheaply from somewhere random. In ep.4, after reading the line from Les Miserables that said "in true love, men become shy and women become bold," she solidifies her decision to chase after XH. You then see her removing the original from her safe, and late bringing a big frame to his house, saying that it's a frame for the portrait she drew of him. As a viewer, we can assume this is actually when she switches out the fake painting on his wall for her real one. Regarding XH's ex-lovers sister, yes, you're right. Mr. Han knew that painting was real, and that somehow this girl stole it from XH's home. Mr. Han knew that there was no way neither XH or HR would sell this painting. Therefore, he said it was fake so the sister would replace it where it belonged. You can also see the brief scene where Mr. Han's assistant is standing hidden outside of XH's house when the sister replaces the painting, and he calls Mr. Han to reassure him that it was done.
Is it kind of like how in English we say "babe" or "baby"? I guess the feeling is probably different though.
Hmm...I don't think I would group it with "babe" or "baby," because couples say that to each other regardless of age, and I think those pet names are a little less sincere than the meaning here. XH and HR are using "child" because of the age difference. If I had to compare it to English, I would say it's a delicate way of saying "my treasure."
For the people who are struggling with how XH and HR referred to HR as "my child," or "child," I wanted to offer some perspective! To me, it was a sweet acknowledgement of their age difference. I guess it depends on the viewer, I found it quite affectionate, and I think there's a cultural component that some people are missing. My husband is a little younger than me, and sometimes he'll call me 姐姐 to be affectionate or cutesy, which means "older sister," but it's not meant to be in the familial sense. Think of it like..."noona" in Korean maybe? Similarly, "我的小孩" or "my child" is being used romantically. In English, this doesn't exist, so it might be difficult to understand.
I'm confused. I thought HR didn't go with her mom to the US? The mother went alone and when she was there Xiao…
When she is at the airport with HY, there is an overhead announcement that they are calling passengers to board for XH hometown. So I don’t think she was going to the US at that scene, she was going to XH hometown to get married. The airport scene was also before the snow scene :’(
At first, I REALLY REALLY wanted to believe that it's a solid happy ending with the ending credits scene. There's…
Regardless, I'm happy and it was a beautiful drama! I would actually pay so much money to see a re-uploaded uncut version with a clearer ending though...take my money Tencent!!!
At first, I REALLY REALLY wanted to believe that it's a solid happy ending with the ending credits scene. There's one thing that's nagging at me though, and it's how XH and HR are wearing the exact same outfits as in Ep. 2 in the flower field. If you recall, HR's mom had made Auntie Zhang throw away a lot of her clothes, so it's more than likely that dress was tossed...which means XH may have just been remembering that time she came and followed him to the flower field, and is dreaming. She told HY that she would "好好活着," it means she will "live well," not necessarily live long :( BUT, at the same time, we can recall the conversation with her mom, where her mom promised that after she is healed, that she will find happiness with another man. So her mom being together with YQ might mean that HR did heal. I also feel like (but I haven't read the novel so I'm not sure) they wouldn't include the notion that she's going to the US to get treatment for a year and then have her pass away? I think they did a good job of making the ending very open to interpretation haha!
Question about Epi 13! When XH goes to get watermelon for HR, she finds a picture of a flower in one of his flower books, and smiles happily that he kept his promise. What was the significance of the picture? I must have missed it in a previous episode? Thank you in advance!
I see a lot of people mentioning about her dropping the court case opportunity. Imho though, I don't think this was entirely unrealistic. Her character is meticulous, befitting for a lawyer. It makes sense to me that she would want to be the one to grab the evidence for her beloved, to make sure it was received and processed correctly, to be the one to protect her loved one. Maybe I'm a romanticist, but I would have done the same for the one I love. Her performance as a paralegal was outstanding throughout, thus opportunities like that for her are aplenty. I see their relationship as one of strong mutual support and courage - with that part of Cong Rong disaster volunteering as evidence, to stand beside your loved one as he saves lives and to make sure he's safe :)
How can a drama be this perfect?! Butterflies in my tummy and idiot smile plastered on my face throughout the whole drama :) Absolutely loved the chemistry between both couples. Daddi Tang's acting was so heart tingling...not to mention his kisses are next level?! Highly highly recommended if you're looking for something fluffy and sweet <3
Hi, wanted to watch this. Some say watch from 23, 24 and now you said 21 (skip first 20 episodes)So which episode…
I don't think your understanding will be too interfered with, you'll still understand the jist of the story. The story is split into arcs, so in that sense it shouldn't hinder comprehension too much.
