I tend to feel the exact same. I feel that Chinese historical dramas tend to leave a lot more deeper impression on me. Whereas coming of age and modern new concept dramas are done well in Korean ones. Time travel is a genre where I think Korean dramas have excelled recently. I hate Ryang Eum But everything else is so deep, excellent, mature. Emotions are at their peak. Very good drama. I have had a fair share of sad dramas and believe me I felt after watching this if the writers could hold back on torturing the couples. Problems keep on coming and tears keep falling. Still this drama has won my appreciation, excellent!

I didn’t get it either. I felt the whole FL’s history and all to be too confusing for my taste. Best thing and story was of Cheong Ah. I just have a soft spot for mothers, my mom sacrificed a lot for me. This drama was BEAUTIFUL
