Title Memorist Spoiler
Like Han Sun Mi is such a worrywart for Dong Baek’s welfare, I’m living for it. Btw, I love our Avenger’s…
Also, can I just how trashy a lot of people in this series? If not for the Avenger’s Team, I could have sworn almost everyone in this series are scums who proceeds to do despicable things without any reflection whatsoever with what they have done (like I don’t even see an ounce of them switching side whatsoever for the sake of their family’s safety). It is painful to see these scums of Earth (yes, I’m including the reporters who are willing to ostracize a colleague and to publicize things without even wanting to find out the other sides of the story for ratings) behaving so low just so they can protect their reputation, pride and power. Smh.

Like Han Sun Mi is such a worrywart for Dong Baek’s welfare, I’m living for it. Btw, I love our Avenger’s Team of four. I love how the trio already expected DB to leave them behind just so he can shoulder all the burden of their current situation.

I do hope they won’t kill my favorite Team Chief Goo or else I would be so frustrated.

Title Dung Duang Haruetai Spoiler
Just finished this and I honestly enjoyed this until the end surprisingly. I mean, sure... there may be a bit…
Btw, I still can’t believe what they did to Krawok Noi. The poor adorable and respectful child just had to die. Why must they be so cruel?
On Dung Duang Haruetai Apr 22, 2020
Just finished this and I honestly enjoyed this until the end surprisingly. I mean, sure... there may be a bit of bias considering I love Kimmy but to be fair, the story is actually good and the beautiful topographies and costumes fascinated me enough for me not to get bored. I mean, the men are dashing and the women are absolutely stunning in their fits so kudos to the styling team (I have to mention that I preferred Yam’s simpler hairdos as a commoner than the super big crown braids they want Maneesala to sport in the earlier parts though, but she’s still as lovely as the other ladies. It’s a good thing they made the crown braids smaller in the latter episodes.). Have to say as well that they overdid the eyeliner for King Rangsimun (lol).

Meanwhile, I actually liked Prince Tiyuttithorn and Princess Maneesala’s story better than the leads. Perhaps it’s because though there’s a gradual build-up, Tik and Kimmy’s chemistry remained lackluster until the end. I’d say I was still able to enjoy the story between King Rangsimun and Princess Tatsiga however. Now, just imagine if they decided to cast a different guy (e.g. Nadech or Pope) as a counterpart for Kimmy (who always end up having good chemistry with her praeks — alas, not the case with Mr. Tik tho).

Imho, the story, dialogues, sceneries, actors (okay... I guess even Tik sans his chemistry with Kim though tbh, I didn’t really connect with his characterization of Rangsimun) and costumes were good BUT it was the post-production unit who were not able to execute their task that well. I mean, the editing was done a bit sloppily — like the cutting of scenes were done in a way that makes you feel like they rushed things ahead (which makes you think you missed something because one moment, Tatsiga is not that apprehensive anymore and the next, she’s doubtful and angry; the transition in the depiction of dislike to love is not that neat). Oh, and don’t get me started with the fast-forwarding of some scenes. Like who else thought the horse ride scene was fast-forwarded like 16x or more? That scene was ridiculous that it made me shook my head (really, it was so funny and unnatural that I literally had no choice but to smh haha). The CGI effects sucked as well. The insertion of the map in the earlier episodes (and to signify movement) was something I liked though.

Despite the shortcomings, I have to say that the story telling got a bit better in the latter episodes and things eventually picked up. To sum up, this was a decent lakorn imo (don’t know if it’s a decent remake though as I have yet to watch the other versions but am planning to watch the original) that was wrapped up pretty okay. I enjoyed this for a lot of reasons — characters, costume, setting, and OST. I mean, there was so much beauty in this lakorn so I’m quite happy I gave this a chance.

I just watched the first episode and omg (minus the sidestory which tbh, I skipped a bit or maybe a lot) this was so cute. Mew is so pretty and adorable and Mark is even more handsome here than the last lakorn I’ve seen him. This duo unexpectedly have a lot of chemistry (it wasn’t all that unexpected though as I actually expected the chemistry to be there right after seeing just the preview but holy smokes, it’s definitely there to anyone who might still be hesitant lol) and omg, I just love Muey’s character (and okay, even the aloof character of Thien).

That kiss out of nowhere in Ep 15, I'm living for it
Me too! That was like SR subtly announcing to SY, “I am your Kryptonite!” Hahaha.

Title Good Manager Spoiler
Finally finished this series after putting it on-hold twice (and literally stopping after just a few minutes of the first episode). I have to say that it was all so worth it to give this a shot.

I loved the growth of each character in this series, especially the transformation in Park Myung Seok’s character. His development just goes to show that hanging out with a good bunch of people can really be a factor in helping an individual rear a better version of himself.

I also loved the gradual development in the relationship between Kim Seung Ryong and the other members of Business Operations team. It had a slow transition to the point that it was kinda a slow burn type of team building. It started from an evident mistrust and ended with a satisfying rapport and them having faith in him. After their team was established, I liked how SR has been an icon that inspired the members to rediscover their courageous selves until they finally got some backbone. Literally, their unity has been so vital in their missions of intercepting the corruptions and injustice happening in TQ. I have to give a thumbs up for SR’s character though as he is such a brilliant mastermind of everything. In addition to this, I enjoyed how they incorporated the scenes of all the characters, even those who are considered side characters (the entrance of the lawyers always had me cringing and smiling both at the same tome haha; also ahjumma’s unit is the best — she is so amazing).

Among the characters though, I have to say that my favorites are SR, General Manager Choo Nam Ho, and Ga Eun (she is such an adorable detective who truly stands up for what is right haha but that is not to say she cannot be competent because she is and efficient at that haha).

The bromance between Seo Yul and Seung Ryong has been apparent the whole duration of the series (was not able to appreciate it more in the beginning though, as SY annoyed me mostly during those period for being a classic jerk). Have to say their bromance game has picked up and got stronger in the latter part of the series (that is me saying during the last 3 episodes). I did enjoy their banterings throughout the series though.

Unpopular opinion: I preferred (and enjoyed) the relationship I witnessed between Chief Kim and General Manager Choo Nam Ho better. Well, tbh... their relationship isn’t that much of a bromance but more of a father-son relationship. I especially loved it when he CNH called SR the problematic child of the house in one episode. I just really loved their moments — all the cuddling, eating, crying, drinking, and scolding moments are all so genuinely heartfelt. It’s like CNH, in an unspokenway, was able to fill in for the father figure SR has lost; while SR to CNH too, as the former filled the void he had as he misses his wife and daughter.

To summarize, this series journey has been amazing. On to my next.

Don’t think I can take Kim Byung Chul’s villainous characters seriously right after watching Pegasus Market.…
Finally finished this! Man, people are so right! This is such a gem of a series. I love all the employees of PM. 9.5/10

but the suspicious look tho after he gave the money and the fact that he went back there alone...
Now that you’ve said that, I’m seeing that scene in yet again another perspective. You’re right! DB may still not be off the hook. Haha.

Ep. 9: Loved that epilogue where Dong Baek gave the father and his son some cash (aka the bribery money lol) so they can finally seek some medical assistance.

Also my guess on the ending is that the mask man still isn’t the culprit but Yoo In Tae (Ahn Sang’s husband) who has been manipulated by the true Eraser.

Anyway, good episode. Still find Su Mi’s choice of footwear ridiculous but still like her. Also would like to say that Iove the dynamics between her and DB.
On You Are My Destiny Apr 8, 2020
This was such a cute version until the ending part. Hopefully, there would be a second season as it feels incomplete — so many things not said, still with misunderstandings and pain in their chests. Anyways, I have to say Ando is my favorite character.
