Emotionally heavy, beautifully acted—but not always easy to watch

I’m honestly a bit conflicted with this drama. It’s definitely interesting and meaningful, but at times I found myself skipping some scenes.

What stood out the most is how emotionally heavy it is. This drama deals a lot with psychological themes—trauma, war, emotional wounds, grief, and the long-term impact of painful experiences. It feels very intense and, at times, overwhelming. There are many scenes that are genuinely heartbreaking, and I found myself tearing up more than once.

The acting is really strong. Chen Zhe Yuan and Liang Jie did a great job building chemistry, but more than that, they portrayed emotional pain, trauma, and even depression in a very convincing way. Their expressions—especially their eyes—felt so real that it was easy to feel what the characters were going through.

At the same time, I have to admit that this drama was not easy for me to watch. I usually like binge-watching, but this one took me much longer because I wasn’t always emotionally ready to fully sit with what the characters were feeling. It’s the kind of drama that requires emotional energy, not something light that you can just watch casually.

I also felt that some scenes were a bit too dramatic at times—no offense, just my personal opinion. Still, the drama has its own balance of sadness and small moments of warmth or hope, depending on how you interpret it as a viewer.

Overall, I think this is a well-acted and meaningful drama, but it may not be for everyone—especially if you’re not in the mood for something emotionally intense.

Recommended for viewers who enjoy emotional, psychological, and trauma-focused dramas.
Best watched when you’re emotionally ready, not when you’re looking for something light or easy to binge.
