If you want to see Ci Sha in another show, He's in the drama "Forever and Ever." He's not the male lead, but he's such a perfect second ML. The drama is really good too, more on the sweeter side. With Bai Lu and Ren Jialun as the leads.
There's no love triangle, but Ci Sha's character is such a sweetheart
WeTV is already posting about Blossoms of Power. Someone who worked on the team said on Weibo that it's in May,…
That's what I don't get too, I think they planned for May and something changed, they post BOP everyday, the cast have filmed their variety show already and He Yu was spotted this week in full BOP costume for a photoshoot.
I also heard that tencent is thinking about what shows to give it's prime summer slots to, so they might be rethinking.
Steve Noh/ Prime Minister, plays a priest on Apple TV. "Pachinko." The scene in the church brought me back to it. If you want to see a different side to him, he's incredible in that. He plays a cik presits who's sweet and compassionate, he marries a woman who has a baby with another man out of wedlock in the early 1900's, and she's at risk of being shunned by society, even the presit that weds them warns him not to marry her.
This drama is fun to watch but the plot is barely plotting, even for a rom com. I mean, these are just random…
hmm for me I feel like they've been leaving hints leading on to something bigger, both their characters have some sort of depth IAN with his father and brother whom we don't know the full story of and SHJ with her father as well, she treats her father really coldly and bluntly. There's also the queen dowager who's the most interesting of them all imo and proves to be a compelling villian. So far it's not just romance but we have other things that peak our interests. plus only 3 episodes have aired.
I'm not sure if you were anticipating the drama and didn't get what you anticipated for because I get that can be disappointing. Personally I didn't and just started watching when I heard it aired, so I'm just a passerby I guess.
The romance is really fun too, which adds a cherry on top.
This show is so good, tbh! I love every scene with the queen dowager and Ian, so intense! I also love both OST's one sounds like it was made for a saguek and the other one feels so fresh and modern, lowkey like Disney Channel movie songs.
Hm okay I'll wait till after, I saw conversation about it but they can't really fit all characters from 850 chapters to 36 episodes so there are bound to be some changes, Let's see how they execute it. At least it keeps to the theme of focusing on the FL 🙂
I heard this show has the same art director as Blossom 2024 and Flourished Peony 2025, and the same action director as Blossom 2024. (Not confirmed tho)
Same, I only found out about this show in December. I saw the clip from last year's Tencent investment conference in June, but I didn't pay attention AT ALL. I'm really intrigued by the plot because I love the Sick ML trope (I survived the show Kill Me Love Me because of this 😭) I also love a cunning FL (from what I'v gathered idk).
I wanted to read the novel so bad (which I've never done) but I want to be surprised when I watch the show, then read it after. Many novel readers have said the plot is really good. Also, the cast is just insane on the filming site, they're all always laughing, so I want to see what the promo will be like.
The costumes look really good as well. As long as execution is good, I think it can be a dark horse, because not a lot of people know about it rn imo.
I felt the same way about Prisoner of Beauty when I watched the trailer in 2024. I was interested because of the plot and costumes. The show isn't a large production but it utilized what it had, and I wanted to see how it would be executed. I didn't expect it to be received as well as it was when it aired in 2025.
I just hope we can get an extended trailer soon so we can see what we're working with.

End of june is crazy tho
Steve Noh as father Isak was so endearing

What do you usually watch btw?
