Luo Mei- I felt bad for her at first because she wasn't seeing what we were seeing, we saw the full picture while shee saw somone she looked up to/loved falling into a hole of madness and lust. so i didn understand her but as the show went on i was like what's going on??? she tried helping but did nothing

The Emperor: This man wasn't serious, i thought we would he had an undercover team to look into what happened 10 years ago and and he was actually weary of the crown prince but noooo all he thinks about is granting the new concubine favours and planting peonies. Maybe they didn't want the plot to become too big but the king has other sons?? if the CP killed MRJ why did he jut turn a blind eye to it even though MRJ is his favourite son, that was the part that got me, when he said he didn't want to know. He's also familiar with the struggle for the throne so it never crossed his mind to suspect CP ??? I think about his character in the rebel princess.....sigh

I saw multiple people complain that everything was revealed to early, and i was like not really there's probabaly alot to unpack thats why, but no! I assumed the fire was caused by CP but will lead to us seeing many more people involved and it being part of a much larger case that will have everyone shook as the story went on but NOP, it's just PSYCO CP take it or leave it.
For Mei Lin many people said she wasn't as involved in the revenge as they would've liked her to be, i completely agree! and maybe i let her off sometimes because she is played by Wu Jin Yan but her character is quite clumsy for someone trained for 10 years. Apart from some instances she didn't contribute greatly to the revenge.
SML and his sister, i honestly don't know what they add to the plot and what they are doing here, everything they've done so far could have been done by random side characters

Like alot of people i want the MRJ form the first 3 episodes back 😭, even at the beginning i knew he wasn't evil (no show makes the ML fully evil) but he sort of lost that intensity as the show went on if you get what i mean. no one says he can't be lovey dovey but still. Not comparing but as an example, Ling Buyi in LLTG was not a bad person nor did he miss out on his lovey dovey activities but there was that intensity and thirst for revenge that he carried with him till the end if the show, and MRJ went through so MUCH and you're telling me he couldn't stab CP himself, NOOOO HE WAS ACTUALLY UNCONSCIOUS WHEN ALL HAPPENED

This was my most anticipated show of the year! i love Wu Jin Yan and Liu Xue Yi and i wanted it to be a big hit for him especially, he's been in many shows but not as the male lead (except in Blossom) and i'm so sad it's not what i expected. The characters acted so well but that's not enough unfortunately 😭. plus we haven't had many BIG shows this year where everything is close to perfect so I thought this would be one of them since its almost year end.
