subtitles are horrible, my non-existent Thai I picked up watching other Thai BLs barely helps. Acting is poor, the story is badly executed, it's a mess.

poorly acted, poorly written, with a low budget disaster of a drama, with many shirts off, and i'm here for all of it.

good watch. could be better in terms of pacing and some nonlinearity is confusing at first. May be difficult to watch if you are not familiar with the Chinese history.

It doesn't matter. Any 'deviation' from the norm for CCP's censors is a subject to censorship. Besides there was a policy working for a while where ANY works based on the same-sex relationships, even if downgraded to bromances/sisterhoods would be banned.

This has to do with the fan culture in China that has been strongly regulated by the Chinese government, including relationships between fans and singers, actors etc.

If the fans value something else more than China/CCP, then you see how in the dictatorship state that is China this may cause a problem.

It was okay, just very basic. Actors did their jobs, music was annoying. The plot was basically a rich girl is saved by a rich ex.
